I meant his solo career. Stills is a better guitarist.
Well, than yes. Definitley, but Stills led Springfield and CSNY. So, it evens out :) |
200 yeah!
That being said, who here has been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I was there today, in the gift shop because I didn't feel like paying to get in. Oddly enough, I've only been there twice and the last time I went I knew nothing about rock music. |
I've been there, obviously. About 7 times actually. The gift shops rocks.
No way, it's too expensive.
I've been to the Rock 'n Roll hall of fame in June 2001 (when they had the huge John Lennon exhibit).
Oh my god, talk about a life-altering experience. Me going in was not the same person coming out three hours later. Its one of the best times of my life. |
Yeah but they have some sweet stuff in there. The only gay stuff is like the shirts and all that. My favorite part every time is the Henrix theater. Right now they have an exhibit on Les Paul which is cool. I suggest that everybody goes there and visits me on your way out.
Now I'm getting jealous....why do i have to live in Mississippi???????? :upset:
The main exhibit was The Supremes apparently. Last time is checked it was on U2.
That was a long time ago.
I dunno, that Lennon exhibit was there for a looooooong time
Yeah I only saw that one time I went. The best time I went was when I went with my school becuase I got to spend the whole day with this girl I liked.

I guess I take it for granted that I live 15 minutes away from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. |

Man...Atleast some who appreciate good rock(you) live nearby. |
^I've been there. There's a better museum in Orlando though.
Blasphemy!!!!!
Voodoo, are you going to see Gov't Mule and Chris Robinson on tour?
No, they're not touring anywhere near me. I wish they would though... P.S. Stills is king. Stephen Stills and Manassas are the shiznaight! |
I was there during the U2 exhibit.
This Orlando place, how is it better than the Rock Hall??????
The rock hall is the only thing Cleveland has over other places. Please don't take that from us!
Rock and Roll forever!!
Well, it's hard really to describe what "Classic Rock" is. Back then you wouldn't be referring to it as classic rock.
But, the bands that generally get categorized under the classic rock genre; I do like. Such bands as: -The Beatles -The Who -Led Zeppelin -Velvet Underground Those are just a few. |
Stop trying to change the subject!!! *shakes fist*
hey yeah, when i ehar The Darkness and like Jet, it all sounds like just classic rock
so yeah, classic rock is comin back but so is classic punk like the ramones and the clash and the sex pistols |
The rock hall is the only thing Cleveland has over other places. Please don't take that from us!
Don't forget Halle Berry |
This Orlando place, how is it better than the Rock Hall??????
Well, for one, it's never crowed, a bit more intimate. Most the stuff isn't in cases, great memorabilia (spl?). And there's tours. |

Not all classic rock. Just Zeppelin and Floyd and other really popular bands like that. Go ask your average teenager their favorite Bad Company song.
Hey PinkFloyd, i like your Pic of the school master. You must be a long tiem member to get the name pink floyd.
Whats GW 0 - 1 mean?
Thanks man. Been here since Aug 2003. GW is basically a war in the Guitar Forum where people are matched against each other people who have been playing just as long as you and you both record something. Then a thread is posted and listeners (who are fellow MX members) vote on which song they liked better. When the polls close, the person with the most votes move on. So far we're just on round one. Go in the guitarforum and do a search for "guitar war" or try to contact MX member Ambush for more information about it. :thumb: btw: It's 1-0, not 0-1. |
