I don't like his solo project idea. I mean it'll probably end up sounding like SOAD v2. I think instead of doing solo project use some of that material for a new SOAD album. Anybody else with some thoughts on that?

Anyone notice how no-one has criticised John's playing? At all? People go on and on about Daron's guitaring and Daron's singing and Serj's growling and Shavo's style and whatnot, but John is... perfect. Anyway, anyone who says that something System did (letting Daron sing, for example) doesn't fit them is talking out his a*s because System Of A Down are defined by what they do, not by what other people think they should. Everything they do automatically fits them because [i]they did it[/i]. Anyone get what I'm saying?

Just because I haven't mentioned this before, Question! is my favourite System song. Ever.

It's not one of my favs but it's really easy to play on guitar (which is a bonus for me 'cause I'm not too terribly good) and it's easier for me to sing along to (Serj's voice can get a little too low for me).

I like to sing along to it as well but the high notes on the last chorus for me are pretty hard to get. Actually, I can sing both of their parts in almost every song. :cool:

Lonely Day is one of my favorite songs on the album acually. Though I am not much of a singer, whenever I play through any System song on guitar I always sing along to whenever Daron songs to atleast make me a better backing vocalist.

I do the same, not just with SOAD though. Nowadays I have to practice lead singing more, though, since my band just recruited a second guitarist who kicks my a*s so I'll be singing more than I'll be playing. :/ Oh well. I have always fancied being like Serj Tankian. Or Matt Bellamy, or Brandon Boyd. Or JK.

My favorite songs to play off of hyp are as follows:
Drums-Attack,U-fig,hypnotize and dreaming.

That sucks. The last time they a lot of thime off, their next album was pretty mediocre. I just hope they don't try and release a CD similar to STA for H/M. That would be brutal.

They should've released Soldier Side as a single. That song blows all other off of H/M completely out of the water.

On an A.D.D. note, I have finally seen the video for Spiders (yeah, I know...a little late. You all shush. =P) and I must say...freaky. Interesting...but freaky.

My thoughts exactly.

System of A down is like one of those bands I listened to when I was 11, circa 1998. When I look back at it I'm like, "why did I listen to this stuff?" Up to Toxicity was decent, and then they made that Steal this Album garbage entirely off tracks they made 4 years ago that got excluded from the first and second albums. It had two good songs, but it's one of the worst 15 albums I've ever purchased.

I bet if they never mentioned they wrote the songs before, the album would be liked and respected much more. I love Steal this album and couldn't care less if they thought it wasn't good enough for toxicity. Afterall, what they like wont mean we all will.
