Wintermute is an excellent admin but he's been rather few and far between recently; finishing uni, getting a "real" job, moving across the Atlantic freaking Ocean, etc. He's got a tad bit more on his mind than Sputnik Music at the moment. :)

Okay I will probably regret asking this, but we all know Pop-Punk has gone downhill, it probably was going downhill before I even came to the forums. But when I first came it was more active than it is now. I don't ever see anyone really posting anything or contributing anything useful here anymore. It's kinda, well, boring. Nobody really gets anything out of it anymore. Now I'm not saying this is the full-on reason, but I noticed ever since PPOTM was done away with, there hasn't really been that great of contribution, it doesn't really feel like a community any more, nobody is really recognized for anything.

It probably won't be done but it'd be cool if PPOTM would be brought back. It may motivate people to contribute and post well and plus it was fun when we had that. I know the initial reason it was done away with was because the same people were winning it or people just nominated people who haven't won yet, but it still would be nice.

Or maybe a NPPOTM, for new people just starting out here. It may bring new members here and it'd gain more activity. I'm probably just wasting my fingers here typing but I like posting here more than the other music spots, but gah it feels so empty. I don't know if PPOTY's been done away with or not, but if not those then at least PPOTY should still exist just so there will be a feeling of importance to some people. IDK w/e its just a suggestion.

We got rid of PPOTM because people were getting nominated and not really doing anything. And people stopped doing stuff around here before PPOTM was taken away.

And we still have PPOTY.

And we tried the Noob PPOTM too.

My battle thread encouraged spirited, positive competition among users and gave everyone a chance to WIELD THE SWORD.

I am of the opinion PPOTM does not actually encourage good posting but if you all want to bring it back I'm not really opposed.


As for quality of posting it's all up to you guys. Invite more people to post here if you want more people here ya know? :)

I just feel like there's nothing to look forward to without PPOTM. If it wasn't to be abused I'd want it back but it more than likely would so idk. I don't see the harm in it.

BTW I've tried to invite friends to come post here, but they usually either don't do it or register, post a few things in the GD, then never come back. =/
