Behind Enemy Lines is so good.

IMPORTING OIL, EXPORTING BLOOD!
I used that song for a school project once. It ruled.

BEL needs to tour the US and include TX.

clustifux 02-01-2006 11:22 PM
Because we don't know anyone who can equal the skill of our current drummer and can learn the songs. We can wait the 4-6 weeks until the cast comes off. Or we might just cut the thing off ourselves.
also to add...id play drums for you for a benifit show..but i donno if i could meet your drummers speed...plus i dont play double bass.

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 12:00 AM

Neither does he; that's all one foot real fast.

clustifux 02-02-2006 12:14 AM

oh damn..

RetiredAt21 02-02-2006 12:15 PM

So, what do you fellas think of Crotchduster?

RetiredAt21 02-02-2006 12:17 PM
Neither does he; that's all one foot real fast.
Yeah...you're definitely gonna have a hard time finding another drummer that can do that. That's some pretty impressive stuff.

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 02:01 PM

Thing is, he's been playing for like less than two years. He's just a natural.

Oh, and, just out of curiosity: what song made you guys think he uses double bass? Because, since I'm so used to his drumming, it all sounds normal to me.

We recently did a kinda test to see how fast his blast beats are: they averaged around 1000 bpms. Just in case you were curious. Just listen to how fast the blast beats get in this song:
http://s7.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3VGHIKELJ3KJL0DTGBNV13CS9P

THIS SONG SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Haha. We just pressed record with a couple mics in the middle of the room and did improv for a couple minutes. No serious effort, but it highlights how ****ing fast he gets. And the reggae part near the end is cool. Also, after the reggae, listen for the crazy, almost Agoraphobic Nosebleed-fast fill.

Me and Chris (drummer) are starting a power-violence band called Grave Digger, Like the Monster Truck. There's no guitar, just distorted bass. Should be easy to record, so in a couple months when we do, I'll post it up here.

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 02:29 PM

I really don't like them, at all.

RetiredAt21 02-02-2006 03:07 PM

D00d, why not?

whiteminority 02-02-2006 03:29 PM
So, what do you fellas think of Crotchduster?
Justin they are more fun than good.

Gnarmageddon 02-02-2006 03:35 PM

They are weird as hell.

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 04:19 PM
D00d, why not?
Just not my kinda thing. I mean, I got the album Big Box of ****, and I listened to the first song, True Nature of Williams, and I just didn't know what to do with it. Definately not up my alley.

Jawaharal 02-02-2006 05:47 PM

swallowing **** is alright stuff.

Gnarmageddon 02-02-2006 05:49 PM

Swallowing S'hit got me into grind.

Chap Stick 02-02-2006 05:52 PM

I'm really happy this forum has such a huge grind/crust community.

I like:
Phobia
Swallowing ****
ACxDC
Antischism
Asshole Parade
Assrash
Assuck
Ed Gein
Extinction of Mankind
Pig Destroyer
Napalm Death
Sore Throat

whiteminority 02-02-2006 05:53 PM

Everyone name the band that got you into grind. My first grind band was Fuck... I'm Dead, but the band that got me into grind is one of my favorite bands: Pig Destroyer.

clustifux 02-02-2006 05:53 PM

I donno what song it was...but when i listened to the new **** i just asumed cause i dont know many people who play blast beats with out a double bass pedel.

ahaha...and i dont give a **** if that was a joke song or not...that songs sick as hell. You should put it on your new album(when ever it gets released) I espcially like the little wistle at the very end.

Chap Stick 02-02-2006 05:57 PM

Probably Pig Destroyer since my brother is a hgue fan.

Chap Stick 02-02-2006 05:58 PM

This is a great list. My favorite crust band is probably Behind Enemy Lines. The vocals are great.

Liebensaft 02-02-2006 06:17 PM

Anyone with Comcast Digital Cable, if you go to the music section, in either the Havoc area or Music Choice, there's a Napalm Death music video. They call them "death metal thrashcore". There's also an Against Me! video and Gogol Bordello.

Feel The Darkness 02-02-2006 06:24 PM

I got into grind through Napalm Death.

clustifux 02-02-2006 06:26 PM

dystopia and napalm death

It's gonna be a hidden track after the last song. Last song ends, then like 15 mins of silence, than that. And that whistle was being blown the whole time, haha.

I saw that, too.

Swallowing **** and Agoraphobic Nosebleed got me into grind.

Jawaharal 02-02-2006 09:49 PM

hmmmm, I think Converge's Jane Doe got me into grindy stuff, then As The Sun Sets got me into grind.

Brain Toad 02-02-2006 09:53 PM

Anal Cunt, Cripple Bastards, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed were my first forays into grind. But I recently got really into it after I heard The Great Redneck Hope.

Nerdcore753 02-02-2006 09:53 PM

I'm pretty sure The Locust got me into Grind. Followed shortly by Napalm Death.

Brain Toad 02-02-2006 09:54 PM

I added discussion to the thread title so it makes you guys even more official.

Haha. Nice. You guys sound like Man is The Bastard?

Subvert_bassist 02-02-2006 09:57 PM

Dunno, never heard them. I'll check them out and tell you if we do.
