Need and album that I would like considering I'm in love with As Cities Burn's new album.

Si1v3RfaNg 05-09-2009 01:07 PM

Hey guys... what's the best pig destroyer album to start with? I really want to get into them, but I'm afraid I'll check out the wrong album.

Prowler in the Yard for raw yelling obscenities in your grandma's face grindcore.

Terrifyer if you want something a little more polished production-wise and imo it's better but probably only because it was the first album I got from them.

I'd say you should get Terrifyer first

SKUDstorm 05-09-2009 04:03 PM

check out all their albums. problem solved.

The Feeding 05-09-2009 10:29 PM

all of them are amazing, Phantom Limb is the least impressive but it's still good

Prowler In The Yard & Terrifyer are good places to start

MY EPIC. <--- seriously listen to that band.

Tyler 05-10-2009 12:51 AM

need some heavy, groovy stuff that isn't lamb of god or meshuggah and isn't slam death idk weird request i guess, it doesnt have to be "groove" metal, in fact i dont want that at all, just stuff i can bob my head to and stuff. kinda like benighted, glass casket's first album, maylene, etc.

botb 05-10-2009 01:09 AM

Sotajumala - Teloitus

Sexcrement - Genitales from the Porno Potty (yes anthracks recommended it)
The new Graves Of Valor album.
Is that Jelle or Fenriz?

hismajestythepope 05-10-2009 10:42 AM

Fenriz haha.

Jelle is blonder and has less big of a forehead.

Txus 05-10-2009 11:03 AM

That looks like Jelle's computer room and shitty camera though.

hismajestythepope 05-10-2009 11:26 AM

ITS FENRIZ

son

Tyler 05-10-2009 03:32 PM
Get some Akimbo :)
which album? i'd prefer it not be one of their later more straightforward sludge ones so I'm assuming Elephantine?

Txus 05-10-2009 03:53 PM

Yes, that's the best choice.

Si1v3RfaNg 05-10-2009 04:01 PM

Really.. really... REALLY enjoying the Conductor's Grave by Anata... any similar albums or possibly better ones?

Txus 05-10-2009 04:09 PM

!T.O.O.H.! - Pod Vládou Biče
!T.O.O.H.! - Řád a trest
Gorod - Leading Vision
Gorguts - Considered Dead (This is more straight forward)
Hieronymus Bosch - Artifical Emotions
Monstrosity - Spiritual Apocalypse

God, it's been a while since I recommended some DM.

Anthracks 05-10-2009 04:13 PM

how about the rest of their discog, theres a reason why people like anata so much and thats because they arent really that similar to other bands

Txus 05-10-2009 04:16 PM

Yeah, in fact I like Under A Stone With No Inscription more than Coductors.

Anthracks 05-10-2009 04:19 PM

same here

Tyler 05-10-2009 04:20 PM
!T.O.O.H.! - Řád a trest
Hieronymus Bosch - Artifical Emotions
I second these. Also, Hieronymous Bosch's Equivoke might be better than Artificial Emotions. I don't think the Monstrosity and Gorguts are really the same, though. From Wisom to Hate by Gorguts might be closer to what he's asking for. I think he really just means semi-melodic, semi-technical death metal with maybe a slight emphasis on counterpoint and polyphony? Martyr is great for that, their newest album might be their best, but be forewarned that the vocals are sometimes terrible. Early At the Gates, too.

So maybe:

Hieronymus Bosch - Equivoke
Martyr - Feeding the Abscess
Gorguts - From Wisdom to Hate
!T.O.O.H! - Řád a trest/Order and Punishment
At the Gates - Red Sky is Ours...
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness

?

Txus 05-10-2009 04:25 PM

Oh ****, yes, I meant from wisdow to hate, i got confused :(

and I second the ATG recommendation. I never got into Martyr much though.

Tyler 05-10-2009 04:26 PM

I'm not big on Martyr but I listened to Feeding the Abcess off and on for a while. It's really well produced it's just teh vocals are so bad.

Txus 05-10-2009 04:29 PM

Prostitue Disfigurement bad?

Anthracks 05-10-2009 04:29 PM

!T.To>TOTOTOh! vox are more annoying

and fwth as str8-forward? rly?

Tyler 05-10-2009 04:31 PM
Prostitue Disfigurement bad?
Was this a question? If not, nah they're okay.
!T.To>TOTOTOh! vox are more annoying
They're weirder and I guess more annoying to some but Martyr's vocals are just really bad half of the time.

Ventriloquist 05-10-2009 05:22 PM

Martyr's music makes up for the vocals imo. I just wish that the guy didn't do growls. His thrash screams/clean singing (?) is not THAT bad.

DBlitz 05-11-2009 04:06 AM
Gorguts - Considered Dead (This is more straight forward)

Oh ****, yes, I meant from wisdom to hate, i got confused
i don't think you were confused because Considered Dead is their most straight forward album

Txus 05-11-2009 07:32 AM

I had to check which album came first right now, haha. Yeah, then I really meant Considered Dead. I'm loosing my Metal knowledge :(

Anyways, he should check out Gorguts doesn't matter which album for the exception of Obscura, but most of you will disagree.
