Get Up Kids - On A Wire
14/10
Although it's a good album, I would say Something to Write Home About get's the 14... On A Wire gets like a 11.3. I perfer Four Minute Mile, but they weren't as mature musically so it wasn't as good in that sense. |
I need to get that one.
|
Something To Write Home About is brilliant.
|
Four Minute Mile is sex.
Hearing songs from it live on their live cd is awesome. The Get Up Kids just rule. |
The Get Up Kids are quite possibly my favorite band. Too bad they split up.
|
taking back sunday - tell all your friends
blink-182 - dude ranch the offspring - smash the clash - london calling and others that arent pop-punk: van halen - van halen 1 def leppard - rock of ages: the definitive collection (i dont usually like greatest hits but this one jsut rocks) nirvana - nevermind |
Brand New – Deja Entendu.
|
Saves the Day - Stay What You Are
|
Copeland - Beneath the Medicine Tree
god that album is just so good |
While Brand New "Deja Entendu" is definately an excellent album id have to say that "Your Favourite Weapon" is definately better...
other then that: NFG: Catalyst Yellowcard: Ocean Avenue Fall out boy: Take this to your grave Taking Back Sunday: Tell all your friends Is Dashboard Confessional "pop punk"?? Cos "A Mark, a mission, a brand a scar" and "The places you have come to fear the most" are awesome.. |
hahahhaha, nice bump
I have to add: Converge - You fail me/petitioning the empty sky Dead Kennedys - FFRRV/In god we trust inc Against Me! - Reinventing Axl Rose/As the eternal cowboy |
I have to say saves the day "through being cool" and further seems forever's "how to start a fire" great albums i think.
|
This Day And Age - Always Leave The Ground
|
To go on with the bump/adds, I will have to say Bad Religion - No Control. Some of the songs on that album are damn near perfect.
|
Thursday - Full Collapse
Thursday - War All the Time |
New Found Glory "Sticks And Stones"
10/10? I'm all for opinions and all, but... are you sure?! |
I knew you were going to post that the second I saw that you had posted in this thread. Full Collapse is one of the best and most genre defining albums of the last 10 years. It's not really pop-punk though.

After a few listens, Cursive-The Ugly Organ is up there. Not quite a 10, but at least a 9.5.
|
I have Domestica, how does it compare to The Ugly Organ?
|
I don't have Domestica, yet. (I can't find it except for on the internet) It's probably a lot different, though. They have a cello in it.

Not exactly Punk of any kind, but "How To Start A Fire" is one of the best lps I've ever heard, in any genre. Right up there with Master of Puppets/Revolver/All Mod Cons. But for Pop-Punk the only 10/10 I can think of, off the top of my head, is Lechauza by Fenix TX. Just wonderful. |
Blink 182 - Enema Of The State
Bouncing Souls - How I Spent My Summer Vacation Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb Catch 22 - Keasbey Nights Thats all I can think of right now. |
