Current Misfits Lineup
 

I've been considering seeing the Misfits on the 30th. Most people have already warned me they are trash now. To give this some sort of point can anyone give me their current lineup? Anyone seen them and can give me an opinion of what you thought?

the only person from the original lineup is the bassist

They're not even close to trash, but they do suck terribly. Don't waste you're money.

I was thinking of seeing them when they come to Toronto, even though people say they really suck. It's only becasue I never had the chance to see them in the 80's on account of not being alive and this is as close as i'll ever get. Unless there was a reunion tour with Danzig which would be amazing.

Kind already happened. Danzig played a few dates on the east coast and Doyle came out towards the end of his set and they played like 8 or so misfits songs.

**** I wish i could have seen that & why isn't Doyle playing with the Misfits now why is it Dez?

Markey left and it's Robo & Dez form Black Flag. It's that with out Danzig their is no Misfits he wrote all the best songs and music for them. Hmmmmm Dez was the lead singer for black flag at one point they should do a 360 and instead of the misfits make it Black Flag with Only from the Misfits.

I saw them with Marky Ramone and Dez in April. They were pretty good.

Only really should move on. Get a new band you fat bastard, its not the 70s/80s anymore.

I'm pretty sure they're still good live. Even if their newer stuff is horrible.

Exactly. When a "band" does nothing but play songs from an older band that 2/3 of the current band had nothing do with, and on top of that not even try to come up with new material, thats when it gets old.

At least the Graves Misfits had new material.

yeah down in la danzig and doyle are supposed to be playing a show toghether im thinking about going to see that, i cant remember if its on the blackest of the black tour or not though but im for sure going to that to see danzig and the haunted, maybe even the black dahlia murder

I saw the misfits last show w/ marky ramone. It was actually pretty good. THey pretty much played their static age hits but still pretty good. Im more happy to see jerry fronting instead of graves, at least jerrys an orginal member. Go see em

It's only $17 bucks at the Engine Room. They took off the age restriction that's why I'm taking one of my younger friends. If you wanna see a good show in Houston look for anything at the Verizon Wireless Theater, it's a great venue.

My friend saw them this past summer and said it was absolutly amazing. He actually ended up getting invited on stage to sing "Rise Above" with them. Lucky bastard.
