I agree, I bought the album after hearing BYOB, countless times on the Radio at work. I have been waiting just over one month for it to come out, And finally I got it today. It is alot better than I expected, I was hoping it wasn't a one good song album, But I must say I love it!!!

I agree, its perfectly normal to dislike certain bands, but Its a 99.9% chance that fans of the ''said'' band will give of negative reactions.

I have decided not to buy Mesmerize. I have heard enough songs from it to justify why i won't buy it.

I'll end up with it, no doubt...just won't pay for it at all.

Posting news about a band and discussing a band isn't and shouldn't be ever considered [COLOR=White]as[/COLOR]s kissing. That would mean we can't even discuss a band at all. I guess the way I see it is, you go to the band's thread, and find info about them, where they'll perform, latest news, etc. I dont see how "I hate them" could make for a good discussion either. I dislike many bands, but I dont think people would want me to post in their threads that I dislike a band. Not many people will really care if a person hates a band. Especially not in their threads.

yea i read somewhere that john has a good taste of music. IMO good music at least. he quoted saying that he liked muse and the mars volta and a couple other bands and said thats what he would imagined radiohead sounding like if they kept making cds. ive liked the mars volta since ATDI broke up and i love muse and have all their cds except for Hullabaloo which i cant get a hold of since its an import. but im guessing soad like metallica.. i mean honestly listen to them and tell me they dont sound at all like them..u can for some of their songs , other songs u can tho.

I rilly disagree there are a lot of hard system of a down songs to play and daron is a lousy writer with words like "pizza pie pizza pie ...and butters gettig hard" but he writes almost all of it so you have to give him credet for the very good songs as well and i also hated darons singing i thout he suck *** to but on the new album he sings about more then half and his vocals are fantastic i feel bad for shovo and serj they were kind of left out a little and for the record byob is a horrible song...untill the choris comes in.System of a down is one of my favoret bands and im not rilly that into heavy stuff but there words and melidies keep me listening keep on rocking.

You guys are dumb. The lyrics mean something they arent just nonsence. For example the "My co[SIZE=2]ck[/SIZE] is much bigger than yours!" is talking about different countries armies. If you werent ignorant you could understand that their lyrics are intelligent. And its all part of SOAD to have goofy sounding lyrics.

I really like sytem of a down, they have ways of getting across a song meaning without being so direct. Like said example, cigaro. Sounds stupid but has a deeper meaning within it. The music is usually fantastic. They hop around with all sorts of tempo changes and different time signatures.

Also, one thing I think they could have done is have less guitar on "Old School Hollywood." The keyboards are awesome on that song.

Yeah the co-guitarist in my band was talking about that. Thats good though that they are saving the trees. SOAD is a band that would do that too. I could also see Audioslave doing that.

i love "Question!" also, and yea "This Cocaine..." sounds the most like old SOAD to me, one of my favorites off the album.
