Im really annoyed they didnt play Ram It Down. Shouldve played that last instead of You got another Thing Coming. Also How can you call Ian Hill a statue? Hes more liek one of those bird things. Up and Down Up and Down. Wooo occasionally he kinda gets mad at his bass. The only way I knew show was ending was cuz Ian Hill did something other than go up and down.
(Hes boring yea, but not a statue.) |

(Hes boring yea, but not a statue.)
he did nothing at plymouth - he rocked out a little bit - but only on the spot, not round stage - andi think they should have palyed ram it down but not instead of another thing comin - that song got the crowd goin so well |
Another Thing Coming is arguably Priest's most famous, and most succesful song. It makes sense that they would play that. Ram It Down still should have been played though.

I believe that the most famous priest song is Breaking the Law... Everyone knows that... |
The back-drops I remember them having were The Angel of Retribution, The Electric Eye and the Judas Priest logo with United written underneath it.
Yeh I'm sure that was all. What was the song where Halford came on on the Bike? Was it Hell Bent For Leather? I really cant remember but I'm sure that had a different backdrop actually. What do you think of Lochness guys? Cause Ive heard it slated a number of times but I really like it. Just wanted an opinion. |
^He came out on the bike for Hell Bent For Leather.
I quite like Lochness, I don't see why all the media/press have slammed it into the ground. |
I thought lochess was a really good song
|
The lyrics are a bit daft, but the music is brilliant.

saw priest a few weeks ago in their hometown and it was ****in awesome!!!!

Listening to Unleashed in the East on Vynil and wondered if it was overdubbed much cause it sounds an amazing quality live recording. I expect someone like Brum will know this. Being the tr00 Priest fan he is.
|
Once again, just maybe....
Can someone send me Angel of Retribution? Maybe over AIM or yousendit.com? |
did you see thetv cameras or was it a drunk uy telling you so?
Apparently we were the only show to have screens + pyro so... |
Apparently we were the only show to have screens + pyro so...
yeh - they werent aloud pyro at plymouth |
Hmm.
If they do put out a DVD, that'd be cool. If not then meh. |
Lochness is a very good song.
I'll pick up the DVD if it's released in the US. |
I saw them live at Ozzfest last year and they kicked ***. What a good year I can't wait for this years.....
|
With Priest you could hardly hear what Halford was singing, they had everything else up too much and it was kinda meh. Edit: Its excuseable though, the NEC is a horrible venue.
meh, priest's sound was great at the Odyssey in belfast...the scorpions' lead singer kept throwing his tambourine to a roadie, who would then throw it back to him... twas weird but funny :p |

the only good things scorpions did was stop playing the only cool thing they did was when the guiatrist and bassist were driving each other back with their guitar necks - it made a cool sound |
i didn't mind the scorpions myself...i ended up downloading two of their songs when i got back...****nnn i was at priest for free (one of my mates knew someone who knew Scott Travis...apparently...) but we were sitting, and those **** security guys wouldnt let us down into the standing area even though it wasnt full >:( ...gotta be grateful i guess, it WAS free...i saw megadeth for free when they were here too...everyone needs to go and seek out one of these people :P
|
I'm regretting not borrowing some Scorpions albums off my Uncle, they were amazing.
|
*sings* rock you like a hurrriiicaaaaane
|
Im probably gonna get flamed for this but, i liked JP better when the had Ripper
I like JP all around, but i prefer Rippers vocals to Rob |
i've never heard any ripper songs, but i think i'll tend to avoid...like i avoid Dio fronting sabbath.
|

You're really missing out on some good music by doing that. |
yea its not the whole band without dio
|
Both Dio and Ozzy were integral parts of Sabbath. Both lent a unique style.
However, I am a major supporter of Rob's time over Tim's. |

they're not in it are they? |
*sings* rock you like a hurrriiicaaaaane
There were loads of pyro effects at Cardiff. And the lifts all over the stage. And the MOTORBIKE :D
The Scorpions played well at Cardiff, both bands were pretty **** tight, tighter than FFaF/Iron Maiden. I also caught one of the [many] drumsticks they threw out during the performance, which was a plus. We were about 5 rows of people from the front, **** we queued early. One of mi friends left with his leather jacket in small pieces, another spent the night in hospital throwing up and with a light concussion... I blame the painkiller pit. Twas pretty immense though, and I didn't lose my glasses like I did at Maiden! ...Anyway, my fave songs by them are Breakin the Law, Painkiller, Ram It Down, Turbo Lover and Nightcrawler. I don't have any albums but am looking into getting hold of Metalology and Angel of Retribution... My band are thinking of covering Painkiller. It'll probably end up like Hallowed Be Thy Name, we learned that and then my guitarist decided to drop it from our set because it didn't "feel right"... that said, we do have a female vocalist. Not your ideal metal conditions. |
we had no pyro at plymouth - but smoke - a load of lifts and the bike we did have - there was a half hour set change after scorpions - we were at the edge for the whole of scorpions - most people left for drinks at the beginning of the set change so we got to the front
|
When they come to my date, it's an outdoor arena, so hopefully, the pyro will be busted out again.

Tony Martin's stuff is prety good too. Has anyone ever seen this site? There's some pretty interesting stuff on it. I never knew that they've never performed The Hellion live. How many of you remember Dave Holland? He was a pretty good drummer, for someone who didn't do double bass. Not that it matters now he's rotting in jail, the bastard. |

they were good enough without it |
