You might have to wait awhile, it still has yet to start :(
|

|
Possible. I don't think the CD was leaked, just someone was able to get a copy from them early.
EDIT: The first 4 songs are done!!!!!! It should be done in a matter of minutes. Hope on SS if you want it. |

|
After skimming the intro I don't think it has been mastered yet.

|
That is very odd then. Unless your like in Mongolia. Wait, you live like an hour from me right? That is messed up.
|
i know, im gonna see if this is on winmx but i doubt it. winmx sucks for music that isn't mainstream
|
I doubt it's anywhere. I got it off this kid from my other board (www.thenjscene.com) and laot of those people are somehow connect to bands and stuff so they get stuff early.

Yes, Botch good. Also check out Coalesce, young hardcorians.
Moving on though... read this. This shows how big of an idiot Bleeding Through's singer is. And he considers himself edge. What a joke: http://www.burningangel.com/archives/interviews/bleeding_through.php |
Can someone clarify what edge and straight edge is or whatever your talking about?
|
???
Can someone clarify what edge and straight edge is or whatever your talking about?
straight edge aka edge aka sXe is when you dont drink dont smoke cigarettes dont do drugs dont have promiscuous sex (meaning irrisponsible sex with multiple partners) edit: and it has NOTHING to do with veganism. |
so the converge download failed on me last night. what was everyone's opinion for those whose didnt fail? i read a review (http://www.pahardcore.com/boards/topic.cfm?topic_id=30116&forum_id=2&Topic_Title=Converge%20%2D%20%27You%20Fail%20Me%27&forum_title=General%20Crabbery&M=0&s=1) and supposedly its a dissapointment and most people in there agreed. i want the downloads to start working again.
|
I agree with your definations...but the bands seem mixed up except for the bands you put in the grindcore catagory....it seems to me that all the bands in hardcore are to soft to be in that catagory, same with tmetalcore, those bands should be in hardcore...expesialy Atreyu, there a good exaple of a band screamo band. I do completly agree with your definanitions though, nice.
Btw, dont bitch me out cause im a newb, just baecause i havent posted yet doesn't mean i dont know my music. |

There's an mp3 of a new song in that review if you look towards the bottom. It has the yell/talk type vocals I was talking about. Yeah... a lot of people seem to hate the album. I still like it though. |

Not your post count. PS. Before you start arguing with me because you think you know something, look up a thread called "REAL Screamo" in the Pop-Punk forum. Happy trails! :thumb: I'm not trying to be a dick, by the way. Seriously though, read it. |
yeah I listened to the new converge cd
They kind of changed their sound It was alright, i didn't love it, but i didn't hate it... I cant believe there was an acoustic song on a converge cd, although it is a pretty good song, its pretty repetitive, i give this cd a 7/10 because you know its CONVERGE!!! |
hey buddybigsby got any suggestions for some screamo bands
I really like ctts a lot |
hey buddybigsby got any suggestions for some screamo bands
I really like ctts a lot
Saetia (Get "One Dying Wish" and "An Open Letter", if possible) Cowboys Become Folk Heroes Kite Flying Society (I recommend "This Picture Was my Heart", but it's all good) Jerome's Dream |
yeah i like saetia, already listened to that one before, k ill check those out
|
Well i dunno, i also thought Atryu was screamo, i'll read the post though, who else would you consider screamo? i think a good example would be poison the well, tell me if im wrong. |
Saetia (Get "One Dying Wish" and "An Open Letter", if possible)
Cowboys Become Folk Heroes Kite Flying Society (I recommend "This Picture Was my Heart", but it's all good) Jerome's Dream
Once again, haha, arent cowboys become folk heros a little more grindcore than they would be screamo? |
No, Poison the Well are not screamo.
See, here's the deal. When Poison the Well, From Autumn to Ashes, Atreyu, A Static Lullaby, Alexisonfire, Silverstein, and all those kind of bands started getting popular a couple of years ago, the mainstream took notice and for some reason or another started calling it screamo, when in fact screamo is a completely different genre characterized by music that is a bit on the chaotic side but is just teeming with emotion. Check out "An Open Letter" by Saetia or "In The Nervous Light of Sunday" by Circle Takes the Square for a perfect example of what screamo really is. Or, if you don't have a file sharing program, just download a couple of these songs: www.hxcmp3.com/circle_takes_the_square |
Once again, haha, arent cowboys become folk heros a little more grindcore than they would be screamo?
Well, some screamo is very grind influenced, like Cowboys..., Pg. 99, and Circle Takes the Square. What separates it from grind though is that the music has much more depth, the guitarwork is more on the artsy side, and most importantly: the atmosphere of pure emotion that it gives off. |
yea, ive heard a circle takes a square, and i really like them and also consider them screamo, what the hell would u call poison the well?
|
Poison the Well's first two full-lengths = Emocore
You Come Before You = Very experimental. I'm honestly not sure how to label it. It mixes metal and emocore with a radiohead-esque vibe. I don't think you can slap any one label on it. |
yea, i do agree that you come before you was very experimental and exotic, i loved it, but the opposite of december was straight up 24/7 screaming (which i love) and thats probably the reason it lead people like me to call it screamo...thanks a lot man, im set straight now, i wasnt sure about this stuff, im more of a death head, black metal guy myself, thats what i play at least, but this helps
|
Buddy will just say pageninetynine and Kaospilot but I'll say Hot Cross and Love Like...Electrocution.
HEY I didn't say Pg. 99 OR Kaospilot, thank you very much. And I've recommended LLE multiple times in the past. |

Hmmmm, I thought Poison the Well would be considered metalcore?
