Just listened to all my tapes:

Sterbend - This isn't bad. Total Burzum clone and it apparent, though mediocre at best.

Backyard Mortuary - Pretty awesome death metal with an old-school touch. Check it out if you're an Unleashed/Nihlist/Autopsy fan.

Infernal Necromancy - This was pretty good. Definitely not the best Japanese black metal I've heard, though it was still good. Very distant yet agressive vocals.

Necroslaughter - Very good. Really old-school thrash influence. Sounds very strong of Hellhammer. The guys who made it HAD to have been drunk when recording because I've never heard worse instrumental work. So ****ing sloppy.

All that aside, it's a very good album. Very short though - only 10 minutes.

since tyler says seviss is a good LLN band i think i will give them a chance. if i dont like them im probably going to give up on LLN completely.

I have never heard another band that I could easily mistake for Brenoritvrezorkre; whether you like them or not is one thing, but to say they sound like an "average black metal band" is imbecilic, because quite simply, they don't.

...especially in a genre where the majority of [I]well respected[/I] bands still do actually sound like an "average black metal band".

To stray the thread away from the ever-tedious LLN conversation, who else likes Demoncy - Joined in Darkness. It's a release that I've taken quite a liking to recently; impressive for "USBM" too.

Also, has anyone else seen the "USBM flag" (usually found on myspace pages)? Absolutely hilarious.

My best friend's brother played in Demoncy. I think it may have been shortly after that release, but interesting nonetheless.

trust me, id like to get into them but its pretty hard when all the stuff sucks that ive heard. im definitely going to get seviss, and maybe aakon as well.

Demoncy is decent, I find they are highly overrated around here. They have some good moments but overall the shitty generic USBM sound and stupid vocals hold them back

ive yet to find a "good" usbm band so i must track something down by them.
