All my classical cd's are labeled on my itunes as the artist who plays them, not the composer.
All my classical cd's are labeled on my itunes as the artist who plays them, not the composer.
Yeah, I always change that. Otherwise my mp3 player is full of different musicians and a composers music is all over the place. I just put the musicians name in the 'Comments' bit.

Moses 01-31-2006 03:40 PM

I want to change that but it takes so much time since I have so much of it. Also it doesn't register on my last.fm because it says it's badly tagged.

Strange. I have some of your Rachmaninov uploads and I haven't changed the way they are tagged and they register. I only have one piece that doesn't register, some Prokofiev, and really can't figure out why.

superpeer 01-31-2006 05:13 PM

I change it too, because I want the composer to get the credit, not the performer.

DJ Shadow, Aphex Twin, and Dan "The Automator" Nakamura collaborate on reinterpretations of 60's and 70's Indian film music...It's some of the coolest stuff you'll ever hear

Anyone know if it is possible to delete things off your last.fm? My brother uses the computer too and it completely screws up my list.

dUSK 02-08-2006 05:28 AM

Just turn the plug-in off after you've finished using the computer.
Anyone know if it is possible to delete things off your last.fm? My brother uses the computer too and it completely screws up my list.
Yeah, you can delete stuff. Go to the profile + tag editor and it can be done from there, under "all artists by name". Just click the x to do it.

But yeah, turn the plug in off when you're done with the computer. Either that or make your own account on the computer and make sure the plug in is of on the other account(s).
