My radio hardly even plays PF ... PF is rare in Holland :(

Britton 11-15-2005 01:43 AM

I have KZEP 104.5 if you all want a really good station I'm sure they broadcast
online. It's a great staion. When my Dad lived here (as a kid) he would listen
to them. They have the roots and they do a good job with the music they play

but still mostly just songs from the big three albums

Riva 11-15-2005 02:49 AM

I wouldn't mind hearing Run Like Hell and Comfortably Numb all the time on the radio. :)

Kingofdudes 11-15-2005 07:33 AM

I found a torrent with all "The Wall" demos on it. Unfortunately, no one is seeding :-/

Where?

LF96 11-15-2005 11:32 AM

What happened to the old thread?

Anyway, I bought Relics on vinyl a few days ago, but when I came home I came to the conclusion that instead of the Relics vinyl it had the A Collection Of Great Dance Songs vinyl inside... And that's kind of stupid actually, I hope I can return the album to the shop.

When I was digging in the crates in that shop I saw some Pink Floyd albums I never saw before. I assume they're bootlegs but I would like to know what they are. One was called Kabe, forgot the names of the others. Can anyone give me some clarity in this?

'Run Like Hell' is the secks

Spinal Pap 11-15-2005 02:13 PM

Run Like Hell is decent. It's one of my least favorite songs on The Wall.

I personally like it a bit, but its simply amazing from A Delicate Sound of Thunder or Pulse. The drums really ruin it for me on the studio version...

Since my parent's new car has satellite radio, I get to listen to songs like Echoes and Dogs on my radio.

I've never heard it live, I imagine it would be much better though.

Satellite radio rocks, really expensive though.

or so

Ha I thought I had already sent that out once before.

I like the Run Like Hell version off DSOT best, but I prefer Pulse to DSOT as a whole. The version on Is There Anybody Out There is good as well, probably in between DSOT and Pulse for me.

Riva 11-15-2005 11:42 PM

Prism's version is also acceptable.

Son of Northern Darkness 11-16-2005 02:59 AM

I'm listening to Dark side of the Moon as I type this and it's just such an Amazing album! wow.... I recently saw this AWESOME Show called "The Pink Floyd experience" Done by a company from New Zealand I think.... They did their songs Perfectly! It was excellent! I wish I could've seen the real Pink Floyd....:upset:

Whats "United We Stand, Divided We Fall?"

I wasn't a huge fan of Prism. The sound quality was meh, and the performance itself was somewhat lacking.

a DVD bootleg floating around in a torrent

I like Prism for Echoes

Yeah, DSOTM got me into PF as well. It's probably my favorite PF album.

Yeah, Learning to Fly earns a big "meh" on Prism for the terrible mixing of the vocals. You can barely hear Gilmour.

JakLovesStrats 11-17-2005 04:36 AM

Hmmm...

None of you are giving The Division Bell the true praise that it is due. It is the greatest album of all time, even eclipsing Dark Side Of The Moon. The delicate guitar playing on "Marooned", the genius acoustic guitar on "Lost For Words", the 'electric coffee table' on "High Hopes", the mouth thing Dave Gilmour uses on "Keep Talking"...the list goes on and on. I know some of you won't agree with me, but I don't care. I love Pink Floyd, I love Dave Gilmour and I love The Division Bell. But that's not to say the other albums can't compare, because The Wall contains classic tracks such as Comfortably Numb (my favourite song), Run Like Hell, and Hey You, and many people don't recognise the genius of some of the other songs, such as One Of These Days (Meddle).

bodger 11-17-2005 06:11 AM

guess what i got today fellas??? an Australian release only of the dark side of the moon, this one is special cos it was a quadrophonic pressing done for the tour, it gets better, its rare because its a pink pressing not the normal black, only released in australia, limited copies made:thumb:

Arrakakaka 11-17-2005 06:13 AM

I've finally dug up my Floyd albums again, as I haven't listened to them in a while.
