Most bands are overrated by many people, at least Black Flag made good music.

And Black Flag didn't start hardcore by themselves their was bands like Middle Class etc around the same time.

The only "old" hardcore band I like is Gorilla Biscuits.
I like generic chugging metalcore.
AFI is one of my favorite bands of all time.
I enjoy Jack Johnson (gasp), Dave Matthews, and Phish.

before i started coming here, i hadnt heard of half the bands that are talked about here, i still havnt heard a lot of the bands that are talked about here (its hard because i dont download music), i refuse to accept rancid as pop-punk because they dont sound like it at all, i like cypress hill, this is the second list of things ive confessed and theres probably still more to come.
