fatpunk 04-13-2006 05:59 AM

their new song is bad, I mean really bad.
[you can download it from www.fatwreck.com]. I like their old stuff

Drop The Baby 04-17-2006 05:24 PM

100 Time F'uckeder?

That song is amazing.

Flagjacket 04-17-2006 05:31 PM

I heard Seeing Double At The Triple Rock and thought it was okay.

Drop The Baby 04-17-2006 05:38 PM

The video's pretty jokes, i'm half way through watching it now.

It takes a while to load

Weezerfan_returns 04-17-2006 06:33 PM
NOFX are good, except for Franco-Unamerican.
If anyone has the album So Long and Thanks For All the Shoes, listen to the song Quart In Session. It's so similar to franco unamercian. Keep in mind this album came out in '97.

Weezerfan_returns 04-17-2006 06:33 PM

I thought the new song 100 Times ****ed'er was pretty good.

_JR 04-18-2006 04:49 PM

instant crassic made me laugh for awhile. right in the middle of a verse, wtf?

Drop The Baby 04-18-2006 05:53 PM

Man, this new Cd is simply blinding. Superb, could be their best work

AIRIC 04-18-2006 06:07 PM

I don't think so man.

Drop The Baby 04-18-2006 06:14 PM

I love it to be honest. Really, in all honesty i don't really see where the negative comments are coming from. Songs live Seeing Doublke, Getting High On The Downlow etc are brilliant.

Come on!

AIRIC 04-18-2006 06:19 PM

It's just not very good compared to earlier NOFX like Ribbed

Drop The Baby 04-18-2006 06:24 PM

Early NOFX is blinding, there's no doubt. I just think that this is a return to the SLATFATS/Punk In Drublic days, after Pump Up The Valuum and WOE.

Of course, everyone's entitled to their own opinions, especially you cos i know you're not an idiot.

AIRIC 04-18-2006 06:33 PM

Haha, thanks. It just seems like on later albums like this and War On Errorism NOFX was kind of reaching to be funny if you know what I mean. On Ribbed and Punk in Drublic NOFX were fresh.

TakeWarning 04-18-2006 11:06 PM

I think it's pretty good, not their best though.

Weezerfan_returns 04-18-2006 11:25 PM

i ordered it yesterday. i can't wait for it to come in the mail, with my FREE nofx bottle opener.

Mike Rakhabit 04-19-2006 08:13 AM

I love this album. All awesome songs, didn't order through fat wreck though so i don't get all the free **** (pretty pissed about that). I would recomend all the songs

Weezerfan_returns 04-19-2006 10:06 AM

so i take it "you're wrong" isn't on there. FUCK

I saw them in March, and they played it fast, with the whole band. On the Hippy EP it's acoustic... but the full version sounded so cool.... oh well.

Purr 04-20-2006 04:30 PM

Old NOFX, good they had some political stuff in their older songs, but it wasnt an overload..great music, good classic punk at its best. (white trash, punk in drublic, ribbed, just straight up good)

New NOFX (mainly war on errorism) - Though the sound doesnt bother me, the whole political thing kills me... appeals to 7th grade kids with anarchy patches on their bookbags and spiked hair that falls down cause they couldnt afford good wax, and pretend to know about george bush, the end.

why-was-i-banned 04-20-2006 08:18 PM

They are not pop-punk

AIRIC 04-20-2006 08:36 PM

How aren't they?

Drop The Baby 04-21-2006 04:11 AM
They are not pop-punk
Sentences like the one i've quoted will probably help you to understand your usertitle.

<---NoFX---> 04-21-2006 04:52 AM

The new album is awesome, I don't think it's their best but it's far from their worst, it is up there with the likes of So Long... White Trash and Punk In Drublic.

I also thought their most recent EP was really great too, I love the song You're Wrong

dAmaGecOntrol_77 04-21-2006 09:15 AM

nofx is punk .. it's the 3 part harmony that bad religion does that gets them a more mainstream appeal

TakeWarning 04-21-2006 09:44 AM

You know, I've given up trying to convince idiots that NOFX are a pop-punk band. It's just too hard and there's so many of them.

skateMASTERbater2 04-21-2006 09:55 AM

The new one isn't there best, but I'm listening to it right now, and it is really good. It definetly beats the sh'it out of WOE and Pump up the valuum.

I just don't really care about it anymore. Arguing about genres is so boring.

I like both of those better than WIWC.

LinkinParkSucks 04-21-2006 05:44 PM

nofx is pretty much my favorite band.... i cant wait to hear the new album
