I think that song is waayy over-rated. As for my favorite song..... I'd have to say Sixpounder.
The first thing that comes to mind when i think of Children of Bodom is....

Buy the CDs online or something
|
what exactly the genres of CoB, just Metal or Melodic Death Metal
|
I love their whol hatecrew deathroll cd, but i really like needled 24/7
|
wow. im very sorry for you.
He's entitled to his opinion as much as you are - you like an over-rated, dull, unoriginal band, he doesn't. Get over it. Another thing that probably gets on his nerves is the rampant fanboyism associated with this band - theyre the new Metallica. |
what exactly the genres of CoB, just Metal or Melodic Death Metal
Nothing about them is melodic death. Theyre Power metal with harsh vocals. |
Nothing about them is melodic death.
Theyre Power metal with harsh vocals.
Thats what I say they are. Someone on this thread said the Alexi or one of the others said they were "punk rock from hell" |
Yep and they were a retard; what about them is punk ? nothing. What about them is rock ? nothing. From hell ? ....
If you say theyre melodic death, then youre wrong. |

They are power metal with harsh vocals.
End of arguement. |
what arguement?
|
People saying CoB is one genre and then another saying "no they are _____".
|
Anyone else get a stiff on when listening to Taste of my Scythe? I just love the melodies and harmonies created between the guitars and keyboard. The verse and the bridge/interlude parts are the best.
|
Can't say I've heard that song Chris.
Sounds like I should though :naughty: |
Can't say I've heard that song Chris.
Sounds like I should though :naughty:
Yes, that and any other song on Follow the Reaper that you haven't heard :) . In other CoB news, I just read on Scythes-Of-Bodom that the new album, Are You Dead Yet?, is going to have some industrial elements in it, but still holding to the traditional CoB sound. This from an interview with Alexi. Should be interesting. |
Industrial.... shall be interesting to say the least. Bodom are supposed to be coming my way after the new album, which shall be good. :D
|
I'll give my left nut to see them when they tour. Hopefully they'll be headlining and have some good support acts. You live in the US?
|
No, Australia.

I cant say that anyone likes that song as much as i do. Its so fun to play |
Fav song by them is either red light in my eyes pt 1 or Needled 24/7.
They are a pretty badass band, Alexi is an awesome guitarist. |
Best song by CoB is Bodom Beach Terror, end of story.
|
Best songs for me are Children of Decadence and Hatebreeder. I swear if Trashed, Lost, and Strungout and Knucklebuster are going to be on the new album, I will be an old CoB fan. By the way, I think its safe to call Children of Bodom Power Death, despite Something Wild being on the lones of Symphonic Black Metal, because CoB do sound like Norther, Kalmah, and Sentenced to a point.
