You might wanna read about 'BTK'. I'm planning on writing a thrash song about him. Edit: Just remembered it has to be a him due to the state of the crime scenes. Crimelibrary is probably going to be a big factor in lyrical content, although that's basically plagiarism, so I may have to edit them slightly. I remember reading how Jeff Hanneman came up with Angel of Death, he was reading a book on the Hell Awaits tour about Mengele and just decided to write song about him 'cuz he thought it was cool' and thats the attitude I'm going to try and adopt.

I dont really think that the mass genocide of jews is cool.
So, id say that Hanneman probably wrote that song to express the horror that these ppl lived through

Well the rumoured title is Songs of Harmony and Devotion but as for what it sound like, I've heard reports it sounds like a cross between Seasons and GHUA, hopefully it will lean more towards Seasons, I think there's another song with a clean intro e.g Spill the Blood or 213 but little else. If it's on par with Divine Intervention I will be happy :thumb:

What's up everyone? Yeah I read an article in Edge Magazine where Kerry is talking
about the new album. He says that they have about 12 songs ready to be cut.
He also b**ches a little about how the label is giving them crap about releasing it.
He states that some of the songs have DAVE LOMBARDO on the skins, which will
give it a seasons w/ GHUA feel. I read this about 2-3 months ago though.

My five favorite Slayer songs are Angel of Death, Raining Blood, Disciple, War Ensemble, and Fight 'Till Death. Nobody has mentioned Fight 'Till Death. The intro in that song is really good. BTW, I think that King is a slightly better guitar player because his solos do differentiate a little bit. Hannemann technically is much better, but in almost every solo he uses the same formula.
Notice the brief bend after a few seconds in a lot of his solos. It comes at the same time. But hey, I still think his solos are awesome.

Sweet. I know that the 'Criminally Insane' t-shirts are back on sale, they're the ones that King used to wear a lot on the Reign in Pain tour. I'm not sure if this is just bullsh[B]i[/B]t but I've heard rumours that there used to be an 'Altar of Sacrifice' jersey with a picture on them of Jeff and Kerrys' guitars impaling a priest on the altar...
