Love some of the comments. Its so "cliche" to use cliche in a crit. Flow changes due to verse, chorus, bridge etc. One pattern through out is very ***yawn***. Most of the time I only put in phrases that sound like sh*t. I try to avoid lines I think sound good (not)

dfelon, i thought it was a random high school musing. its nice storytelling, better than a lot i've heard about that topic. the little things were nicely dealt with. what made me think it was emo was maybe an underlying vein of judgmentalism/petty disdain. the music people call emo that i've heard tends to have a lot of that, even if it isnt as intricate as yours.
i admit i dont listen to emo much, and i was probably wrong when i pegged the song that way. gimme a few songs to broaden the taste a bit. i tried a circle takes the square song off kazaa. it's got that annoying static thing going. couldnt get any better since kazaa had only one at that point in time.

obviously, if you are listening to a band (unless you go to see them play in their garage every night), they were popular enough for you to have heard about them, and popularity doesnt have to mean a mass media, it can just be around your town. i'm sure you are one of those kids that stopped listening to a band you've been a fan of for years, just because they signed onto a major label. ill give you an extra 10 cool points just because im sure you've done it.

so APS lission to bands you don't like, and you think are bad, well good for you, thats your taste in music, and his is his... i hate lots of music, but i understand that other people can like it, as misterfieing as that can be, the music i lission to dose not make me better than any one, nor dose it make me wosre than any one, becuse there is more to a person than music... i have lots of good freinds who have a taste in music that when its being played makes me want to hurt my self in strange and horid ways, that i think is horiably bad, but they enjoy it...

chirst taste in music is a personle oppion, there is no right and wrong... you may think music is bad, but other pople don't... you can get in to how complcated the music is, but again that is pointles, becuse complcated dose not mean good, and with me in most of my tasts in the way i write story and lyrics, the way i draw, the way i paint the way i take photograths the way animate and film things i try and keep "simple" i perfer simple things, but people mistake the idea that somthing that is simple done can't have complcated meaning or ideas

but i'm geting away from the point i was trying to make... i'm sat here with the radio on, and you know what i have on, i have radio 4... for any one not in the UK that is the classical music stashion... but i may get board of this soon, and i may go put on blink 182 and still enjoy it just as much as i'm enjoying the radio now... but of cousre just becuse i like blink my oppion about music, and there for in your eyes about anything is autoicaly not as good as you....

i've had this crap all day from some 18 year old indy girl that can't descied if she wants to go for a drink with my freind becuse her freinds have diffrent tasts in music to me and my friend and our other freinds... she is at a stupid point in her life where she belive that music is everything about a perosn... as amazeing and as an imporant part of my life music is, it is not the only thing that makes me who i am... and her and her freinds can't seem to understand that, there just turning 18 and are moveing out of home, and are feeling so full of self imporants that they can't see past the fact people like diffrent music to them...
