how good is the intro to die dead enough?? - signature poland leads, gota love it!
the whole songs pretty good actually, cant wait till the album comes out
the song is awesome, as is the rest of the album. as i heard each track i just got more and more excited. 'kick the chair' 'the scorpion' 'back in the day' 'tears in a vial' all just the best mix of old skool and post RIP deth. i cant wait to buy the album. makes metallica's last couple of efforts look pretty lame. can't understand why you'd have a metal album with no guitar solos (st anger)??!
I could live without Hetfield.

First of all, they are two of my favourite bands but this is not a Megadeth vs. Metallica thread. Nore is it allowed because it doesnt settle anything at all.
my bad :)
Sounds like you don't like him at all. :p

But yeah, sometime between SFSG..SW and Rust In Peace, his voice went to hell. But then again, so did James Hetfeild's...
maybe. but im talking about even in the early days. And the voice does go and theres really nothing u can do about it.

GraveRobbersINC 08-09-2004 10:57 AM

^No kidding, I was shocked at the tone of voice he has on KIMB. But after a while I started loving it like the rest of his vocals.

EDIT:I saw the Symphony of Destruction video on tv today, it's awesome in a politically charged way.

Its rubbish bar 3 or 4 tracks. Worse than St. Anger imo.

And he played on one track. (can you say gimmick?)
GraveRobbersINC 08-09-2004 12:56 PM

Yeah, nothing can be more repetitive than st. anger.

lunchbox320 08-09-2004 06:53 PM

man why'd david ellefson quit again cuz of money or what someone knows tell me

Five Magics 08-09-2004 10:40 PM

^^^im still trying to figure it out, it seems confusing but it shouldnt be. Anyways, the bottom line is that Ellefson is out and I dont like it, but ****, its not like Megadeth hasnt gone through any lineup changes before, I think im kind of use to it by now. heck, Nick Menza is back, NO ONE saw that comin, so who knows maybe Ellefson, and Friedman will come back too, Chris Poland has worked on the new album a bit, so really anything is possible.

lunchbox320 08-10-2004 08:05 AM

thanx man i heard that poland was back and menza but still i luved ellefson man h was one of the founders of the band he better ****in come back if u hear anything let me know

i liked his voice from countdown on much more actually.

JMetallica 08-10-2004 11:24 PM

Wow, really? I think he started to use his nose as much as his mouth in delivering the vocals. I think his voice 1990> just lacks the power and harshness it had on the first 3. Eh, oh well. To each his own.

Mark. A 08-11-2004 12:05 AM

^^^^^^^

Maybe after those 3 albums Dave tryed to change it around a bit you know, well he did a fantastic job and CTI.

Cowboy from hell 08-11-2004 04:22 AM

**** ME!!! Nicks back in, i only knew that Dave had re-formed the band with a total different line-up.... WHOOP WHOOP can't wait til they come over to the ****hole uk. lol

'Hey i don't feel so good...' I've never know a person to love this song as much as me, do any of you???

Yeah, those are decent. Thats why i was dissappointed with the rest of it. Its like a sugar coated turd.
well whatever u heard is untrue nad ur a dick head fer even saying it on the megadeth ****in thread
Dude shut up. Its my opinion. And megadeth are still my favourite band. And how do you know its untrue? Exactly, in which case i refer to you my first point (Shut up.). And this is where it goes because it is about megadeth. Im not bashing them.

That said, i thought st. anger was ok....a major letdown...but listenable.

Although Die Dead Enough, Kick The Chair and Blackmail The Universe own everything on St. Anger....track for track its no contest.

Ignorance.

GraveRobbersINC 08-11-2004 09:34 AM

Does anyone have the MD .45 remaster with Mustaine singing. I heard it would be better if he sang on it and now he is, so opinions?

vixfinger11metallica20 08-11-2004 12:23 PM

I thought St. Anger was a decent album but I've always felt that megadeath have been making better music than Metallica....In my opinion that was the case with The System has Failed.

gnarkill_07 08-11-2004 12:34 PM

the system has failed seems like it will be pretty good. ive heard blackmail, dde, kick the chair, and of mice and men. blackmail the universe has a great opening riff, really gets you going. die dead enough is an all around good song. kick the chair is my favorite out of the three, great playing all around. and of mice and men, not my favorite song, but its still pretty good. all in all, the system has failed is shaping up to be better than st. anger in every way. except it isnt better at sucking. :D

Battery 08-11-2004 12:57 PM

Megadeth is ****ing great band and dave makes unbelievably good riffs. For me, the most important album has been Rust in peace. And it contais song Tornado of souls(it rocks like hell!!). From the new album i have heard only one title, Kick the chair. I dont know what to think about it, its good but not good as the old songs. But still i must buy the new record. And all the remastered albums aswell. Whatever you say, Daves creaky voice is great :)

Five Magics 08-11-2004 02:07 PM
Does anyone have the MD .45 remaster with Mustaine singing. I heard it would be better if he sang on it and now he is, so opinions?
I dont have it yet,but apparently the original vocalist of MD.45 played the harmonica on the album, but on the remaster Dave re-did all the harmonica parts on guitar as well!!!! This is because Dave could not find the original master tapes of the vocals/harmonica on MD.45. That's why I cant wait to get it, but the stores around here in the hammer (Hamilton,Canada) dont have the remasters yet.

Good Mourning/Black Friday - My favourite from Peace Sells...But Whos Buying? The intro guitar parts are untouchable.....and then it gets a little out of hand  when it gets heavy!!

megadethchick69 08-11-2004 09:36 PM

I got a few remasters, they kick ***. Dave is ****ign awesome and i love him. His voice is really realyl greta and he makes the best riffs and hes great.

I like Good mourning/Black friday too, although its not my favourite track on PSBWB ( i prefer wake up dead, peace sells, the conjering and devils island). Does anyone else think vocal line for the verse of Black friday (the second, heavier section of the song) sounds very similar to some of the vocal lines in "devils island"?? - i do

what i meen is

"Killer, intruder, homicidal man.
If you see me coming, run as fast as you can." (black friday)

has a similar vocal line to

"Oh, hear the call,
From the grave beyond.
Oh, so pernicious,
Her soul it creates song." (devils island)

i dont know why im bothering to post this, it probly just my imagination!
