Judging from a couple of posts in this topic, I really doubt everyone here knows exactly what grind is, and if all of ND's material is, indeed, grind.

oh yea, i doubt that too, although for the most part, the ones who have posted in this thread have some basic knowledge of grind. as for the ND thing, if they dont realize that ND arent grind anymore, well they should. but im sure those who said ND can distinguish ND's grind stuff with their later done death metal stuff. either way, i love all their stuff.

Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death, DEP (If you considor it grind), Carcass (Best grind around).

I'm kinda on the fence about DEP. They aren't really grind, but the kind of are. I don't like the term "math metal" so I just call them grind because I'm lazy.

They're tech metal. They have the start stop rhythms of grind but not really enough to call them grind.

But there isn't really "metal" about them. Their riffing style isn't metal at all, neither are the solos or anything.

They're older stuff is heavy enough to be called metal. The new CD is really hard to classify.

What exactly is crust?Is that like Today Is the Day? I know what grind is but I am not too sure what crust is...

Crust is heavyier 'crustier' hardcore, stuff like Aus Rotten.

crust isn't as widely accepted as some other kinds of punk. if ye use slsk, ye can get stuff from the majority of those bands off of my list.

Has anyone heard of The Locust? I think they are grind,but if not,they are similar to it,and they are really good.

Have you saw the 'Live From The Russian Compund' video? It's on their site if you,or anyone else who hasn't heard them, hasn't.

I think pretty much everyone knows about the Locust. I used to REALLY be into them, but not so much anymore. They still have a couple songs that I listen to occassionally, like Moth Eaten Deer Head, that's one of my favorites.

I think I have.

Edit: I found a site a while ago that has every one of The Locust's songs and put it on my favorites. My Firefox fu[i][u][/i][/u]cked up the other day and I had to switch profiles. If someone could tell me how to switch back to the other profile since I have no idea how to do it, I could post the link.
