I played a Jew's Harp once and I burst into flames.

will the love of god shed its grace
upon the evil side of man
symbolic throne begins to tarnish
poisoned with impurity
clouds of darkness start to thicken
dominate the tranquil skies
frigid earth devoid of light begins to rot and die

angels fall their wings decayed
their hyms of praise sung from the graves
unspoken prayers cease to comfort
the objects of his rage...

/cue sickest riff

Am currently thoroughly enjoying Intestine Baalism "The Energumenus" Demo (1994). Anyone else have this slice of depraved sickness? Highly recommended.

The demo is awesome. Their albums are much better though, especially Banquet in the Darkness.

DBlitz 08-01-2008 04:23 AM

Banquet in the Darkness is awesome

thats an interesting demo/band... probably would prefer the demo to their albums still wouldn't rate it that highly though

rasputin 08-01-2008 04:52 AM

the demo and the albums aren't vastly different, why would you prefer the demo over the albums?

Jondur 08-01-2008 05:05 AM

Maybe but I got the demo first (eleventymillionth generation tape) so I like it best. So there! :p

Haven't actually listened to it for years but I've dug out one of my many boxes of tapes and had a listen to some old faves. Up next is Unanimated.

rasputin 08-01-2008 05:09 AM

ah ok, fair enough then

Malfeitor 08-01-2008 06:35 AM

because the demo is better....
look at suffocation and all their clones. not vastly different but clearly one is better than the other

rasputin 08-01-2008 07:01 AM
look at suffocation and all their clones. not vastly different but clearly one is better than the other
suffocation and all their clones are a completely separate thing from different releases from the same band, fucktard

VomitStainedCretin 08-01-2008 07:02 AM

Concerning the conversation a few pages back about buying Carcass CDs, they're re-releasing them all as The Pathologist's Report Parts I-V, and the Necroticism re-release is pretty easy to find, in UK shops at least.

i didnt mean to suggest that intestine baalism were cloning themselves you moron

my point was that just because they aren't 'vastly different' doesn't mean one is not better than the other

rasputin 08-01-2008 07:38 AM

pretty stupid example to use then, but no surprises there
demo is really good, but i like banquet more

Malfeitor 08-01-2008 07:39 AM

it was pretty clear, my point. maybe some common sense would've helped. guess i shouldn't expect such of a half-bred aboriginal

rasputin 08-01-2008 07:43 AM

umm, no it was actually a completely stupid example, and had no reference to what we were talking about

Jondur 08-01-2008 08:10 AM

I wish you'd all give up on the elite trip. Unless you're King Fowley there's always some dude who's twice as metal as you.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-01-2008 09:13 AM

jelle needs to post that in an announement

Thor 08-01-2008 09:15 AM

how else can they jerk themselves off over the internet then?!

Tyler 08-01-2008 12:39 PM

Jondur is by default the most elite person here anyways. Also, I miss Bartender.
