I dont care what tuning it is. What did they use on St. Anger? I havent played any songs from that. All i know is they with make it heavy and hopefully melodic or something like the older stuff

I think it was like 18 steps down:rolleyes:

Endless Obsession 04-28-2005 04:37 PM

More like Drop-D, 1 step down.

LarsAgi007 04-28-2005 04:40 PM

I just play it standard tuning... Go to www.mxtabs.net and look at S.t anger songs

JACKROXYOU 04-28-2005 04:58 PM

MyFriendOfMisery 04-28-2005 05:31 PM

i think it is drop c correct me if i am wrong

Lionheart1827 04-28-2005 06:15 PM
Youve obviously never heard loverman.
Thats a cover.

P3rSiAnP0wer 04-28-2005 06:16 PM

i kno this has been asked about 40 thousand times but what do most people say is best metallica album?

Chu 04-28-2005 06:20 PM

Most people say Kill 'em All is the best.

And yes Loverman is a cover, but Metallica play it how they play it, not how it was originally done, they definately don't do justice to a great song, so it is a **** song by them.

Huber 04-28-2005 07:34 PM

I'd actually say most people thinking Ride The Lightning or Master of Puppets is the best.

Chu 04-28-2005 07:40 PM

True, Ride The Lightning is the best.
But the majority of people say that ****en horrible ...AJFA is the best tbh.

appreciate_it 04-28-2005 07:44 PM

well doo you mean "hardcore" metallica fans or just the odd song metallica fan? becuase the odd metallica song fan would say Black.. People that know them better would most likely say MOP or RTL.

Joe 04-28-2005 07:56 PM

St. Anger is in drop C, i think.

And what's this about metallica fans? anyone that listens to them is a metallica fan right? and by the way, the black album is a VERY GOOD ALBUM, just not their best. Someone could say Load is their favorite but they're still a fan. The diff is the "hardcore" fans stick with them thru every album

Huber 04-28-2005 07:58 PM

Their is a huge difference between favorite and best. One of my favorite bands is Slipknot, do I think they're the best? Hell no, we all know they aren't the best. Same goes for the 'tallica albums. My favorite album is RTL, but I think there best is MoP.

Chu 04-28-2005 08:00 PM
My favorite album is RTL, but I think their best is MoP.
Hell yes! Best quote, ever.

Please dont say that. AJFA is soooo far from fucking horrible. Its my favorite album.

bobafett286 04-28-2005 09:31 PM

I know this is completely off topic...but hey what can you do? is it just me or does anyone else hate Jame's guitar with the huge deer head graphic on it? for some reason i can't stand it...

kr3wRIDER 04-28-2005 10:28 PM

Damage Inc is their best song.

Huber 04-28-2005 10:37 PM
Damage Inc is their best song.
No, it's your favorite. There's a difference.

It's a bloody disgrace to music, in my humble opinion.

The more people who like it, the more I hate it :(

Huber 04-28-2005 11:11 PM

I like AJFA a lot, it was my first 'tallica album.

Did anyone watch the video for Dream Theater doing MoP? I enjoyed it. They did a good job.

blue3 04-28-2005 11:15 PM

I like AJFA too. My first Metallica album was probably Kill Em All though.

I've never seen the Dream Theater video..

Chu 04-29-2005 12:31 AM

You should, it's bloody amazing.
Never thought Orion could be a better song then what Metallica did, oh how I was wrong, when Dream Theater covered it :o Amazing.

...nnnot really  james and his guitar, and in fact the rest of the band fukin rock :D .

ThrashMaster27 04-29-2005 01:43 AM

He won't get flamed for not liking ...And Justice For All. I'm not that much of a big fan of it. Some of the songs on the album are just too long and they don't warrent being long!

Anyway, strange encounter today. I was listening to Rush - 2112 Overture/The Temples of Syrinx and I swear the riff near the start sounds a bit like Motorbreath. It was enough for me to notice it anyway. Anybody ever done that? been listening to another artist and notice something that sounds Metallica-ish?

Haha, it's not that near the start. It's around 1:35 I think. Sounds like the galloping start of Motorbreath. Well, did to me anyway.

Chu 04-29-2005 01:57 AM

There's some Motorhead song which starts off with Anesthesia, well sounds a hell of a lot like Anesthesia at least, even people I know irl say it does.

I want to be flamed by Metallica fans to be honest =D
