That's true actually.
Them just aint telling the truth they stealing music from a poor little negro out in them streets.
*the sarcastic truth^*
No, I highly doubt they weren't original. |
Jazz = Black peoples
Country = White peoples Lets just leave it that way. We whites cant take credit for Jazz its just not right. |
What is the point to anything you have said? Each race played a huge role in each genre.
|
How did they in country?
|
Zappa was a hugely influencial WHITE jazz artist..so..yeah..
|
What is the point to anything you have said? Each race played a huge role in each genre.
Yes but it seems you are trying to take away the creditt that blacks have for Jazz. Sorry for the understanding. |
How did they in country?
It is said that Black plantations slaves invented the banjo. |

No, I was backing up a comment I said about Whites having a place in the Jazz world. Since the early years their have been White Jazz bands (Not the first Jazz bands, but none the less White Jazz Bands). You are trying to serperate them (Ultimatley kind of making you racist), while I'm showing how each race plays a role in each other races genre. |
Well, it was supposably by a Dixieland group in 1917 who were White. They were named the original Dixieland Jazz Band.
I was pretty sure it was 1917 and a dixieland group but I was pretty sure they were black. Ah well. |

Racism can be against white people too. |
It is said that Black plantations slaves invented the banjo.
An instrument similar to the banjo was played in African tribes, and white slave owners saw it, liked it, stole it, played it, then they all started a bluegrass band. |

Yeah that's true, |
I was showing you that complete credit can not go to one race.
But no... OMg Badm00n es b3in s0 raCisT As far as racism goes, you are trying not to be politically correct. Which is usually okay, and realilistic, but unfortunatley (On your part) each genre we are speaking of is politically correct. Not completely equal, but both Jazz and Country had large roles filled by both White and Black races. |

And the point to this is? |
Okay Both races played a role in the creation of both country and jazz (although I don't know much about the country side) Jazz originated from black slaves, it was based on creole rhythms but played on new adaptations of western instruments. The reason for new orleans being such a center for jazz (and blues) was because it was the largest colony of free blacks in north america. There are also many white Jazz artists (or jazz artists from "ofshoot" genres)although many came later because the popularity of jazz in the 20's and 30's did a great deal in apealing to blacks and whites (No elvis wasn't the first to do it).
And the point to this is?
Hes elaborating on your general statement. |
And the point to this is?
Well, you said that it is said that Africans invented the banjo, and I was basically telling you that that was correct. |

You could say Blacks stole Folk from the Whites and made Blues. It would make sense. That was the only real music going around at the time.
|
*thinks of Eric Clapton strongly*

Great point but nobody knows who spawned Folk. |
