They aren't as bad as other crabcore bands. I can listen once in awhile.

2muchket! 02-20-2010 06:00 PM

I'm pretty ashamed to admit they're from my neck of the woods.

Ugh.

beans 02-20-2010 06:01 PM

whats this crabcore you speak of?

Dimmu Burger 02-20-2010 06:03 PM
whats this crabcore you speak of?
A genre of metal music in which the preforming artists, during the break-down section of their song, lower themselves into a crab like position while continuing to play their instruments.
Some scientists speculate that this movement is intended to emphasize the rhythm and beat of the break-down section in a song.

beans 02-20-2010 06:06 PM

ah, your scientific explanation has cleared my confusion

does this genre also have harsh/whiny vocals all in one song, also punctuated by an inevitable trance beat somewhere in the song?

(we came as romans)

2muchket! 02-20-2010 06:10 PM

Yes bad euro trance sections are obligatory. As are v-necks and terrible riffs. And auto-tuning.

We Came As Romans are a guilty, guilty pleasure though.

beans 02-20-2010 06:11 PM

i will have to agree :(

some of their songs are too damn catchy for me to resist
although i do enjoy them in moderation mind you

Jaundice 02-20-2010 06:11 PM

I've seen them live I think. I was thinking about going with a friend to see A Skylit Drive tonight but he got sick.

They're like a sub par dance gavin dance but with poor cleans, and decent harsh vocals.

But they're catchy and a fun listen. Kinda like Broadway in this sense for me.

beans 02-20-2010 06:14 PM

dont worry dan i dont mind them either

i haven't listened to a lot of dance gavin dance, dont really intend to

the harsh vox aren't too bad, but i agree about the cleans

2muchket! 02-20-2010 06:17 PM

I like the harsh vocals. Bit one dimensional but effective.

I like older DGD with the old singer. The new stuff was good for the first few listens but kinda annoys me now. He talks about stuff that I don't care to hear.

beans 02-20-2010 06:27 PM

i just realized ill be hitting 10k soon

hmmm

That's because jonny craig is the mannnnnnnnnnn

Scoot 02-20-2010 06:32 PM

Overcome was a massive disappointment.

I still like This Darkened Heart more than anything else they've done.

2muchket! 02-20-2010 06:33 PM

Listening to Narrows atm (pretty late I know) def digging this.

this

Scoot 02-20-2010 06:37 PM

Seems that kids these days are into The Devil Wears Prada and I have absolutely no idea why this is.

beans 02-20-2010 06:39 PM

me either, they're the worst thing i've ever heard

Jaundice 02-20-2010 06:39 PM

probably seen them live a few times

Xplisit 02-20-2010 06:39 PM

doubt it

@beans
Seems that kids these days are into The Devil Wears Prada and I have absolutely no idea why this is.
It's because they pick the most generic band of any genre and it becomes the best one to them. Example: August Burns Red, A Day To Remember, Attack Attack and obviously TDWP.

Xplisit 02-20-2010 06:42 PM

if people here start to claim that Attack Attack is better than TDWP i will leave

witchxrapist 02-20-2010 06:42 PM
That's because jonny craig is the mannnnnnnnnnn
you're right

and lay off ABR dan
they're at least talented

Xplisit 02-20-2010 06:43 PM

jonny craig is a jackass but an awesome singer.

some of the stuff thats posted on his (and his girlfriends) twitter/tumblr make me lol.

also dan just claimed to occasionally enjoy Asking Alexandria, so im pretty sure he enjoys ABR

Dimmu Burger 02-20-2010 06:44 PM
you're right

I like ABR. I just listened to Constellations all the way through on the way to work. They are just generic. They're good at what they do, but it's still not remotely unique.

2muchket! 02-20-2010 06:44 PM
lol nope
He ****s underage girls and is a drug addict.

He's like the poster boy for MX.

ABR are a fun band and they're solid live.

Scoot 02-20-2010 06:44 PM

August Burns Red are pretty solid but Constellations is just so predictable.

The intros all sound the same.

Xplisit 02-20-2010 06:45 PM

Messengers is more predictable than Constellations =/

your statement about intros is fail

2muchket! 02-20-2010 06:47 PM

Marianas Trench is such a good song. Probably one of the best they've written.

Dimmu Burger 02-20-2010 06:48 PM

lolz

Xplisit 02-20-2010 06:48 PM

YOU'RE underage. lol

Scoot 02-20-2010 06:49 PM

I guess it's just me.

I just went down the list of songs and Thirty and Seven, Meddler, Rationalist, Ocean of Apathy and Paradox all start on the same note.

2muchket! 02-20-2010 06:50 PM
for a second i swore some one was calling me out
CALLING YOU OUT BRO

z

Nah but I'm halfway there so I can't talk.
