Left Shoe 11-12-2004 05:34 PM

http://www.thebravery.com/ what do you guys think of these uys , the voice sounds like the cure guy , and the music is ....just is

Left Shoe 11-12-2004 05:35 PM

whoa moxy is back o_O

Foxfire 11-12-2004 05:38 PM

I know this is newby as hell, but what's bridge mono, how do you work it, and how does it affect the sound?

me = looking into new amp

Left Shoe 11-12-2004 05:45 PM

bridge is the thingy on your bass , and mono is singular. so maybe it deals with your bridge pick ups volume sepratly than your other pick up

Foxfire 11-12-2004 05:46 PM

It's on power amps only, though.

1,200 watts at bridge mono @ 4 ohms is awesome for 399 USD.

Wintermute 11-12-2004 07:26 PM

How is everyone? Be cheerful, I command it.

Foxfire 11-12-2004 07:27 PM

When you answer my question and the Teriyaki chicken and bacon pizza gets here.

And when my god****ed G on my Conklin manages to somehow repair itself.

Or I get 60 bucks for a new set of Dean Markley Super SR2000s.

Wintermute 11-12-2004 07:29 PM

Please repeat your question.

Foxfire 11-12-2004 07:29 PM

What's bridged mono on an amp, how's it work, and how does it affect the sound, if you happen to know?

Wintermute 11-12-2004 07:33 PM

No idea at all. Sorry.

Wintermute 11-12-2004 07:34 PM

Oh, but Left Shoe's interpretation is wrong. Bridged in this context is nothing to do with the physical bass. It's talking about skipping something.

Saitoku 11-12-2004 07:36 PM

Hey, guys.

Wintermute 11-12-2004 07:37 PM

Hey Sai. How are things?

Saitoku 11-12-2004 07:39 PM

Pretty good. I'm using a weird remote control mouse thingy.... let me find a link.

Saitoku 11-12-2004 07:40 PM

Oh yeah. I'm at work right now, too.

janyeno 11-12-2004 07:42 PM

my last months bass player magazine NEVER ARRIVED... and neither has this months...

its just a little upsetting

oh yeah and light gauge ernie balls is where its at...

Saitoku 11-12-2004 07:45 PM

One of these thingies.
http://www.acomdata.com/rlpmp/rlpm-intro.html

It's like a remote that controls the mouse on your computer. Works for PC and Mac. You just plug the USB reciever in and you're ready to go.... it's cumbersome as all hell, though.

I don't know why we have one here, either.

super deluxe 11-12-2004 07:50 PM

Hola, gorditas!

janyeno 11-12-2004 07:51 PM
Hola, gorditas!
speaking of gorditas....

is it true that taco bell uses super low quality meat??? stuff that they won't even use in dog food???

people at my work kept saying bad **** about fast food... and it really made me think twice...

like how mcdonalds uses left over parts of the animal in their chicken and beef...

Saitoku 11-12-2004 07:53 PM

When I was a kid everyone told me that McDonalds burgers were kangaroo meat and Burger King was sawdust. Now I know the truth....

They're both made from soilent green!

THEY'RE PEOPLE!!!

gaslight 11-12-2004 08:06 PM

Hey everyone.

It's a beautiful day here, windy but clear and sunny.

Rofl @ Family Guy when Peter has the whole Petoria thing going and they invite all the world leaders and stuff.

"Oh, Slobadan, glad you could make it!"
"Thanks, I brought a caserole - it's made out of peo-ple, oooooh! Haha just kidding."

super deluxe 11-12-2004 08:07 PM

Ok, so I need to summon the collective powers of the casual thread. I'm a judge for the world's largest scavenger hunt, and I need to come up with more items. The hunt takes 4 days, and people have brought elephants on campus, built *working* nuclear reactors...nothing is over the top.

They can be weird, obscure, or whatever, but I need inspiration. Here's some that I have on my list now:

-David Lee Roethke: David Lee Rothko: David Lee Rothschild
-Cameltowtruck: n. a big rig to pull you out of any tight spot
-Uber-nu-metal band, featuring Serj, Fieldy, Chester, Fred, and some dude from Slipknot. Performing the most powerful acoustic version of their latest hit single. “I hate everything about your mom”
-Gigli. In mime.
-Get a physics major to affirm in thesis form Dr. Mercury’s assertion that “Fat bottom girls make the rockin’ world go ‘round.” In 1337.
-Pognography

Discuss!

However, now you must answer my deep scavhunt questions on the previous page!

Saitoku 11-12-2004 08:31 PM

I'm so excited. I've wanted to see this band live for YEARS.

I'm pretty psyched right now.

gaslight 11-12-2004 08:34 PM

And PROVE that it works.

Saitoku 11-12-2004 08:36 PM
