On the topic of schools, I'll be a freshman in college, I start on Sept. 2nd, and my Fall semester schedule is as follows:

Economics 1
Calculus 1
Intro to Psychology
American History (Civil War to Present)
The History of Rock Music /m\
I totally agree. I've never met another Communic fan (one that I didn't convert), so :chug:
haha! Make a FA on them and our fanboysm shall convert everyone with shameless bumping! It's the ideal period to promote them now that Nevermore are being discussed due to their new album.

I first found out about them a while back thanks to www.metalcrypt.com where a flattering review on their demo was posted. I expected more people to be familiar with them since they're signed to a major label but anyway.

My hamstrings are dead.

But, on the other hand, baseball ended today since we lost in a double-elimination thing.

So I guess things aren't so bad. And I wouldn't really be open to discussing bad things anyway.

But, I return to university in single-digit days :-\

Calculus is kind of fun, save for the hundreds of practice problems you get. I did well in it. If you have any questions, let me know and I can help you throughout the year.

You need to tell me when you get back on your fast connection so that I can upload some songs that I think you'll like and it won't be painful for you to download the.

I'm quite looking forward to going to uni. I get to stretch my wings, meet new people, live in a new place and I'll be much closer to my brother. All in all, it looks good :)

ATC 08-14-2005 02:50 PM

Since everyone's posting their Uni courseload, I'm a do that too. Just to remind myself that everyday cannot be spent lazing around and playing guitar.
Poetry
Songwriting
Philosophy of Religion
Critical studies in sexuality (if they approve it)
Intermediate Macroeconomic Analysis

Hmm.

Stoic, indeed, our blatant fanboyism shalt convert this tribe.

Subject to change, of course, but I kinda hope not. I hate re-arranging my schedule.

I received an e-mail a week or so ago saying they dropped two of my classes due to "lack of interest." So I had to sign up for new classes while still making sure they count towards my major and minor :-\

To say the least, it was a pain in the fucking ass.

I don't think it has any real heavy metal involved. I remember the course description said it started around jazz, and talks about how modern music evolved from that.

It's awesome to be taking classes like that. Things that you're really interested in, and not the required drudgery of high school.

We have a core requirement at U of I, which means that I do have to take classes I don't want to take (read: math and science classes).

Fortunately, there are a huge variety of classes you can take to fit that core requirement.

Yes, unfortunately, I can't drop Math until my senior year, and Trig is the only course I'm qualified for in Mathematics.

See, I was always good enough at math to not have to keep taking general math, but I was always bad enough to not grasp the concepts until much later in the semester.

magicbus 08-14-2005 03:11 PM

I did alright in Trig (having struggled with math for as long as I can remember), but after that I started losing it. I actually took Calc last year, but quit halfway through the year, so now I'm taking it again.

I'm naturally very good in math, but I hate it, which leads to a real lack of motivation to doing it, and I don't get as much out of it as I should.

how can you hate something you're good at?

Sorry to post off-topic. I was wondering if over a certain amount of time if lessons are deleted, there's a lesson by Griffin_page that is no longer there so I was just wondering.

I didn't realize that they changed the name of the album to that. Nope, I haven't heard it, but I wouldn't mind hearing it early. I'm not sure if I'll buy it, but hearing it might convince me to. I've almost lost faith in them because of the whole thing with their guitarists, etc.
