I'm honestly not quite sure if I know what you're referring to.
Oh...so you don't know what The Court of the Crimson King is?

Darkness 10-16-2005 09:06 PM

I think he was refering to the band.

Kage 10-16-2005 09:07 PM

Oh...that's weird. I guess we're all on different levels here.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-16-2005 09:07 PM

I'm guessing BW was referring to the album by King Crimson.

The new layout is a lot cleaner, I think. The whole location thing is decent, but I still want a 100x100 avatar.

Darkness 10-16-2005 09:09 PM

Jake, I'd like to see your opinion on my song in the death metal competition.. if you have a moment (or 4:01..) can you give it a listen? :)

Kage 10-16-2005 09:09 PM

AHH that's weird. When did that album come out, out of curiosity? I'm talking about something completely different.

BlindWriting 10-16-2005 09:15 PM

Yeah, I was referring to King Crimson's first album, In The Court Of The Crimson King. I think it came out in 1969-1970.

What were you mentioning back there?

YouGottaBeCrazy 10-16-2005 09:16 PM
AHH that's weird. When did that album come out, out of curiosity? I'm talking about something completely different.
I think 1969.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-16-2005 09:17 PM

Yeah, it was 1969.

Mike, I'll give your song a listen. It'll probably take more like 20 minutes with download time, but hey, I'll do it, man. For you. :faggotwink:

Thanks. :D Its on soundclick, so you don't exactly have to download.

God damnit!! My computer died, I'm at school now so my post rate will be low for a while. It's also gonna be hard to send out the next Classical Education email.

Reywas 10-17-2005 02:15 PM

If my computer died I would go nuts. All my music would go down the drain.

Moses 10-17-2005 02:17 PM

I know it really really sucks.

bwnstl 10-17-2005 02:23 PM

Just because your computer dies doesn't mean all your files disappear. Maybe his motherboard fried or something?

Moses 10-17-2005 02:29 PM

Yeah the harddrive is fried.

Now you can't review my song in the competition. :(

I hear he just used a really absorbant sponge. No biggie.

Anyway, figured I'd just say hello as I've recently started posting on MX.

I'll start by saying I facking love Tool. I had no idea what music could be until I listened to them.
I still can't remember how I even got into them, I think it was a fluke chance that I found a song and the craze went from there. Either way I'm damn lucky :p

Well, hello again :)

Killtacular 10-17-2005 04:28 PM

Hmmm... now that I think about it, I found Tool by complete chance as well.

Interesting...

SKoRioN 10-17-2005 04:32 PM

Well I'm certain that the first song I heard was Eulogy but I have no idea how I came across it

I remember listening to it, thinking it rocked, and that was that.
Then maybe a month or two later I was bored and started doing some research on Tool and got a hold of some more songs and got hooked :)

God bless my good fortune

Hello, welcome to MX and the coolest freakin thread on the site... glad to have you aboard... and the sponge theory sounds very possible.

BlindWriting 10-17-2005 05:13 PM

Welcome to the thread. I was a fan before I discovered MX, but being here and talking with a bunch of really cool people who loved the music just as much as I did is incredibly rewarding. I've learned quite a bit 'round these parts.

One Groovin Clown 10-17-2005 05:26 PM

I became a fan of Tool after looking through my dads Cd collection and theere was Lateralus. Since then I have all their cd's except Salival. My dad keeps trying to steal my Aenima cd. It's pretty cool ahving a dad that's into Tool almost as much as you are.

Huber 10-17-2005 05:26 PM

I liked Tool, but wasn't much of a fan until this thread.

Static 10-17-2005 05:30 PM

Sorry to change the subject, but was the song that got you into Tool? For me it was Sober and Schism.

Darkness 10-17-2005 05:33 PM

Actually it was Lateralus for me.
