Which Cocteau Twins album is the best?
Treasure, at least for me.

I went to a casino for the first time this weekend. Lost $40. B-)

morrissey 11-20-2005 12:09 PM

I had planned to buy an airplane and everything.
Which Cocteau Twins album is the best?
Probably Treasure.

morrissey 11-20-2005 12:11 PM

Be sure to book it for Lester B. Person International, not City Centre. I'll pick you up if the traffic is reasonable.

morrissey 11-20-2005 12:15 PM

On my porch?
Just saw the Strokes new video, it's quite amusing. 'oh no you didn't'
Juicebox?

I heard the entire video is just people having sex on the streets of New York. So no music stations will play it.

Glitterati 11-20-2005 12:27 PM
Nobody really likes Pink Floyd.
I really like Pink Floyd. I guess I'm nobody :(

I might be flying out to Ottawa this coming summer.

How scandalous :o

Wanker 11-20-2005 12:29 PM

The Strokes should be strictly guilty pleasure music. Kinda like Oasis.
The Strokes should be strictly guilty pleasure music. Kinda like Oasis.
Except Oasis are actually pretty good?

asymm 11-20-2005 12:34 PM

1300.

Just 37 more then I can quit.

Zappa 11-20-2005 12:35 PM

You're already 1337, in my eyes.

JonM 11-20-2005 12:35 PM
Nobody really likes Pink Floyd.
That's not true.

morrissey 11-20-2005 12:37 PM

Ottawa? Hot stuff. I'll probably still be in Toronto, working.

JonM 11-20-2005 12:43 PM
You're fooling yourself if you think you like anything I don't like.
Well, I actually totally know the sentiment you're expressing, I just usually think of it as "Nobody else really likes Pink Floyd," because of how many people I know only like them as background music for getting f*cked up.

Wanker 11-20-2005 12:43 PM
Except Oasis are actually pretty good?
:shifty:

I do have a poster of theirs on my wall.
Yeah, my brother's like that. He's never listened to a rock band in his life, yet he's convinced that playing Dark Side Of The Moon alongside the Wizard of Oz when you're stoned actually means something. I like a few Pink Floyd tunes, but there one of the few bands I really can't work out what the fuss is about.
That Wizard Of Oz synching thingy is really cool though, I must admit.

A Fro with hands.

Wanker 11-20-2005 12:58 PM
The Wizard of oz is cool enough on its own. I've never tried it, but I have to reckon that Pantera or Atheist or Beethoven or the Monkees or Burzum would fit just as well.
Not the way DSOTM synchs up with it.

It's actually really, really creepy how perfectly is synchs with it.

Zappa 11-20-2005 01:00 PM
A Fro with hands.
I originally made a much larger one that had more frames, so it wasn't so quick of a loop. That one is cool, but I'm not sure I'm going to keep this.

The Great Decay 11-20-2005 01:00 PM

I suck at avatars.

Yeah, it's a little weird.

Wanker 11-20-2005 01:08 PM
Yeah, well like I said I have no idea what I'm talking about :p
:-* It's really really neat how the music would pick up (I forget which song starts) when Dorothy falls into the pig pen. Then The Great Gig In The Sky plays when she's caught in the tornado.

I wish I had cool hair like that.

I have long-ish hair that kinda goes everywhere. I need a haircut, but every time I get one, I don't like it, and I have to hide my seething rage from the barber.

yeah there is a bit of that, some hot lesbians too  But the funniest bits are with some radio presenter who introduces them, It's hard to explain (no pun intended). I really thought I'd hate the new Strokes stuff but Juicebox has really grown on me.

I egt that for nearly everything I hear on the radio in the morning.

Early Gilmour pink floyd made some really beautiful music, and some really exciting music too.

Afterything "the wall" and after I find to be absolutely crap, but I'm a bit of a loner there amongst pink floyd fans.
