Does Anyone Know When Metallica Start/started Recording A New Album?
Nah, they arn't saying anything. They are a lot of rumours, but no one knows for sure.

Thor 09-18-2005 04:47 PM
Nah, they arn't saying anything. They are a lot of rumours, but no one knows for sure.
I don't think thats how they should do it. They should announce it so everyone gets pumped to listen to another album soon.

Britton 09-18-2005 05:12 PM

I hope it's done in time for a summer tour

Thor 09-18-2005 05:16 PM

My guess is that it will be, but if they tour any other time of the year I'll still go.

Britton 09-18-2005 05:27 PM

So would I, but if it's in houston in the summer I can still go...I could always
skip school I guess...

hammet_ownz 09-18-2005 05:35 PM

hopefully in time to come for aussie big day out in jan 2007!!!

The Dutchinator 09-18-2005 05:37 PM

MMMMMM new metallica album.

clairvoyant 09-18-2005 06:25 PM

New Metallica will definitely be better than St. Anger.

Joe 09-18-2005 06:34 PM
My guess is that it will be, but if they tour any other time of the year I'll still go.
I still want to see them in San Fran with the Stones... :upset:

It'll come out late '06, early '07. I'm not betting on a summer tour, unless it was a quick 2 month US tour
Garage Inc. is the worst commercially.
I'd say because it's the most expensive that's not live.

Thor 09-18-2005 06:49 PM

"Well let's not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet"

Sorry, but I thought a Pulp Fiction quote would be suiting for that.

mx skater 09-18-2005 07:57 PM

If metallica wants to build there rep back they need to go to the old stuff. They need to have those famous solos un like st anger. Either way ill still scoop it up

IbanezSamurai 09-18-2005 08:05 PM

Metallica and Stones...interesting sight to see. I wonder what the crowd would look like.

Joe 09-18-2005 08:07 PM

They will, i guarentee. People hated lars for no solos.
Metallica and Stones...interesting sight to see. I wonder what the crowd would look like.
Both. No doubt the fans there would want to see both.

dr._feelgood 09-18-2005 08:11 PM

Well there would probably be some Metallica fans who are like "The Rolling Stones are a bunch of old farts" and then you'd have some of the older Stones fan going "This is just noise" about Metallica.

Rayne264 09-18-2005 08:56 PM

a new metallica album you say? i cant wait..

Avellin 09-18-2005 08:59 PM

Kirk needs to whore the wah again...it's really missing in St. Anger you get so used to the solos and all the wah.

Darkness 09-18-2005 09:02 PM

No he doesn't... on the Black Album thats like all he did... go back to AJFA...

6stringslinger 09-18-2005 09:12 PM

I remember about two months before St.Anger was released they said it was going to be similiar to Ride the lightning. Kill Em All and MOP.

honestly I can't say s*** they're still a great band. I saw them last year and it was a great show. I think it may be a while before the next album, this time next year or even later...

Apocalyptic Raids 09-18-2005 09:26 PM

Yeah same. I remember an article where Metallica had let some journalists into a rehersal with them. I specifically remember oneo of them saying a song it sounded like Ride The Lightning Pt.2

:upset:

HighlyRefinedPirate 09-18-2005 09:37 PM

metallica and the stones november 13th in san francisco!

I heard that to, the "going back their thrash roots" kind of stuff...

:upset:

Chu 09-18-2005 09:43 PM

It was back to their thrash roots.
It was a hell of a lot thrashier then anything original they have released since Self-titled (Bar one or two songs).

It was a totally new approach to thrash, maybe not what you expected.
Maybe it was a failure, but they're Metallica so they can make the gamble.

Britton 09-18-2005 11:11 PM

Remeber that thing that lars dad told him to throw away?
if anyone has it can they...phuck no uploads anymore

oh well

no but I would love to hear all of that

PepsiMetal 09-19-2005 12:21 AM

St. Anger was closest to RTL and MoP than most other stuff imo. Most people are just driven away by those drums. Plus bass is poor on st. anger too. Can't be compared with RTL. Afterall, bob rock isn't cliff burton. lol

Fire Away 09-19-2005 01:27 AM
anything past the black album i think is **** exept the song Unforgiven II, which for some reson is one of my fave 'Tallica songs
Are you serious? King Nothing, Aint My Bitch, Fuel, Bleeding Me, The Outlaw Torn...all great songs, and even a few others off St. Anger also.

PepsiMetal 09-19-2005 01:05 PM

Bad seed is the best song post-black album imo. Or sweet amber. One of those definetely.
