"All Lies" is a standout Nomeansno song off of Wrong.
One day I was driving with my friend to San Bruno in search of an Orange Julias and he said "Oh No, San Bruno!". Coming from a guy who likes my chemical romance and shi I was pretty impressed.
that's LIFE in hell
There are a bunch of different ones. I know there's a School is Hell and Work Is Hell. Dunno about Love is Hell.

Currently digging Stooges, Mayo Thompson and Edward Gorey. Really gotta push Funhouse up on my 65-74 list. Mayo album is pretty neat, too. "Horses" and "Oyser Thins" are sweet, not really sure if it'll make the list, but it's really unique stuff and should be downloaded. I'm going to go ahead and make the assumption that at some point, Stephen Malkmus heard this album and really liked it.

Also, Edward Gorey is the man. That is all.

I liked Clouds Taste Metalic. I thought that they were working on that kind of garage pop sound with TFSH, and perfected it with Clouds. If you haven't checked it out yet, do so.

Little Man being Erased 12-01-2006 06:59 AM

Yeah Clouds Taste Metallic is awesome too. Actually those two albums are just about on a par.

br3ad_man 12-01-2006 07:19 AM

Yeah, that's about right.

Little Man being Erased 12-01-2006 07:46 AM

Amen brother.

I'm diggin on Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor right now. So far, it's great.

br3ad_man 12-01-2006 08:12 AM

I'm listening to In On the Kill Taker. Jared's Repeater review made me feel like listening to Fugazi. This is my second time through it tonight.

Little Man being Erased 12-01-2006 09:28 AM

Food & Liquor is great. Go wuss-rap.

Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady

Fuck, I'm finding it difficult to get into jazz.

The Beatnuts - Mussical Massacre
Ulver - Perdition City
Project Pat - Crook by the Book
Afroman - A Colt 45 Christmas
Crotchduster - Big Fat Box of ****
El P - Collecting the Kid

I've been digging Lupe Fiasco too. The album takes a while to get off the ground, but when it does it's quality stuff.

AlienEater 12-01-2006 11:43 AM

I've been digging various SYRs recently

Happymeal 12-01-2006 01:35 PM

The Futureheads - s/t

"Meantime" is insanely catchy, I had it on loop last night.

Superchunk - No Pocky for Kitty

I'm very pleasantly surprised by this. It's a feel-good, loud guitar album that I'm liking more and more every time I listen to it. Anyone else familiar with this band? Which record of theirs should I get next?

Australians hate jazz.

pulseczar 12-01-2006 02:21 PM

Slowdive - Souvlaki
it has some good songs, but what makes shoegaze albums special for me is their dynamics on loud and thick, yet subdued, chilled out vibes, and Souvlaki is just really tame the whole way.
