Yep. I think it's telling that the highest ranked people on reputation include people like Zakath, who never contributes anything, he's just very good at flaming people. It measures popularity and which forums you are in most.

winter mute i think you should turn this into a game , pick a theme every day and give the person who exhibits this theme best points. like weird themes like "who said pine tree the most often today"

Only if they were willing to:
A) admit that the whole system is crap
B) annoy people a lot.

i have 23 rep points and have no clue who gave them to me.

one moment i remember having 13, and then the next time i checked it was 23...a little interesting, wouldn't you say? anyone?

i wonder how i check those it might be amusing to see how i stand in the publics eyes

Who has to admit the system is crap, you or them? If I were a mod I would take so many points from so many people. Then I would be demodded and forced to take only one point at a time...

If mods have to step in to correct it all the time, it's obviously flawed. And if you go to the Members list, you can arrange them in Reputation order. Bear in mind though the Members list only shows people with over 1000 posts.

You can't see other people's actual number, just how many stars they have and their place on the Reputation Rankings board.
