My school NEEDS a new music department, honestly the school opened in 1950 and i dont think they have made much changes to the music room once.

Our music department is pretty ghetto :-P.

Ours is really good, i made a nice little keyboard piece today. But it needs finishing.

Since i quit band a month before it ended i had to give back my trumpet and i miss it so much. i was planning on going in and asking to borrow it for the summer, but i never got around to it.

I need to get in a band. Me and some friends at school are planning to hire the new music room next year for some jamming though.

I can't play trumpet to save my life by the way.

I can play a mean trombone. :thumb:

Alot of people tell me its one of the hardest instruments to play, but honestly, i didnt find it hard at all. it took some pratice and all. but i would think the FLUTE is hard. i cant play the flute at all. I can play pretty much every thing you would find in a typical music room... cept the ****ing flute.

What about piccolo?

I used to be in a marching band and played trumpet. It was one without the keys though, so you changed the note my changing your lip shapes.

I can play all the scales ( in the circle of 4ths) on just my mouth piece... its not that hard to make notes with just your lips ;)
ALLTHOUGH walking and playing trumpet is hard.. i tend to walk into things, but honestly, anyone who can skank while playing a trumpet is my idol.

Walking and playing is hard though, but i got good at that.

I dunno what scaled i could play, i know i got my trumpet badge in the RAF Cadets, which ment i could play 6 notes in the scale, i could play more but not in scales as such.

I could never look at sheet music though to learn a song, i literly learnt it by ear playing like that.

How the hell would you skank and play trombone, Im pretty sure you need both arms to play... and thats quite good. I love being able to say im top in my province
( 2nd best horseback rider for my division in ontario) - ontario is ****ing hugge.

Well somehow I've taught myself to balance the trombone on my shoulder and move the slide with one arm.

Not much. Just thinking about Sara...*sigh* I can't get her out of my head. She wants me to come to her house Friday night to watch a movie, I just hope to the Gods her mom will allow it. Her mom is iffy about having guys over according to Sara.

*sigh* I'm nervous for her. :(

Good luck with that man. Let me know how it goes, I hope everything works out. I'm sure her mom will be okay with it. That's kind of weird at your age for moms to be uneasy about having guys over.

Her last boyfriend was a drinker/smoker, and moms automaticly think their daughters are gonna go off and have sex and crap like that. Hopefully when she sees what a loser I am, she'll think different, haha.
