There's this girl who I know (by sight) from my language lectures, and from her working as cashier in the Union. I've not talked to her beyond hellos and such, but I always thought she looked cool. Today she charged me £0.98 for some £4+ of stuff.

Always thought I liked her.

PinkFreud 03-23-2006 06:38 AM

Haha. Maybe she just made a mistake?

You should talk to her. Making new friends is fun.

blueyxd 03-23-2006 07:42 AM

It can also be erotic, very rarely though.

kurrpt 03-23-2006 07:52 AM

i just listed my triple rectifier on ebay last night, and its up to 511 already. Hopefully it goes for an insane amount of money

Jev 03-23-2006 10:20 AM

The Pink Bass has just arrived! :D

kurrpt 03-23-2006 10:34 AM

whats that man?

Jom 03-23-2006 10:34 AM

Sightreading is easy for me - but probably because I was exposed to it at a very young age. But even then, I don't think it was very difficult because you were given a slew of mnemonic devices to remember the notes for each staff, haha.

Treble: Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge | FACE
Bass (how low can you go!... okay, sorry): Great Big Dogs Fight Aliens | All Cows Eat Grass

And for alto clef (for all you viola players out there), just move everything one note down from the treble clef, haha.

And then it was just recognizing what a fermata looks like, the difference between D.C. and D.S. al Coda, reading the different types of durations of notes and rests, and so on. It's good times.

Field trips galore for the next two days for me: today I get to go to the zoo, and then tomorrow I get to go to the gypsum mine. Woooooooo!

And hello, of course, to everyone.

the2stranger 03-23-2006 10:41 AM

I used to be good at sight reading, that was like ten year ago.
I must really think to read it now :(
whats that man?
A pink bass guitar.

kurrpt 03-23-2006 10:43 AM

i suck pretty badily at sight reading, unless its tab, and normally i have to go pretty slow for that, but surprisingly, i retain the information EXTREMELY well for someone who gets baked, daily

Tell me about it.
This morning the cable of my ear phones started doing weird.
I have to press on the cable, otherwise it will only give a partial contact, resulting in only hearing music in one ear bud

these stupid ear phones always break near the connection plug, why can't they protect that thing better?

np: Death - Scream Bloody Gore (song)

Indeed, especially when it happens in the morning, right before I go to uni.
I have to listen to all the people in the busand train whining, I hate that, and certainly at 8 in the morning

I think I have some repelacement ear buds laying around in my room, must check cause I can't go without music for a long time

kurrpt 03-23-2006 10:59 AM

ear buds are straight crap. For some reason, the ones in my IPOD still work, though i stole them from my PSP

Invicta_Veritas 03-23-2006 11:00 AM

So DbJ finally changed my username
(how do you like that, bitches)

Anyway, I'm becoming less and less impressed with the new Cannibal Corspe.

For some reason I can't listen to music and hear people talking (or see them talking) so headphones for me on a bus/train are useless. For some strange reason it makes me feel angry.

Ah, so the new name is more "tr00", eh.

I dig the new Cannibal Corpse. I have never been a big fan of Corpsegrinder, but Kill has some great stuff.

Don't you ever get the urge to kick people in the teeth when they just stare at you?

Shred Danson 03-23-2006 11:14 AM
Don't you ever get the urge to kick people in the teeth when they just stare at you?
I've had that urge all damn day. Only people aren't starin' at me, they are annoying the piss out of me here, and now's not the best day for that, really...I'm in a really, really somber mood right now (today was the day my mom died, 10 years ago)..

NP: Without A Trace - Bloodbath

Jev 03-23-2006 11:29 AM

I'm feeling pretty pissed off in general too, unlike you I have no reason. I almost slipped at my Graphics teacher becasu nothing I do is good enough for him.

Shred Danson 03-23-2006 11:34 AM

Yeah, well, kids keep trying to screw with me. You would think the lack of my usual chipper jokey face would make them think twice...

I hate them kids. Dunno if you have the same problem but kids keep going "look he has long hair" around me. It's like "WTF WELL DONE!"

Shred Danson 03-23-2006 11:40 AM

Kids here are amazed at my long hair  Girls, particularly. "Wow it's longer than mine!" Then people flip when they see me windmill headbangin' when my band plays a gig, heh.
