Can someone give me some easy tapping songs? I'm a tapping n00b. :-/
The tapping part in Eruption is how I learned to tap. it's honestly not very hard. |
What's the difference between tapping and two hand tapping?
|
Ok, I'll look for powertabs of both One and Eruption, since I am familiar with them.
Alex- Is it a powertab? |
The tapping part in Eruption is how I learned to tap. it's honestly not very hard.
I agree, I forgot to mention that. Tapping is usually just using the fret hand fingers, and only one finger on the hand. I think two hand tapping goes into the "multiple fingers on both hands/multiple string" area. |
It's a GuitarPro tab. No one ever really explained to me what the difference between a regular tab and a powertab was, and I just stopped caring after a while.
By the way, I'm open to suggestions other than Metallica, because I really have no urge to learn anything from their catalog. |
Tapping is unbelieveably easy. I can't see how anyone could find it hard.
The very end to the tapping in Eruption is a little tricky, because Eddie starts switching fingers pretty fast then stops. |
powertab is to guitar pro as windows is to mac I think...Except without the inferiority. :p
|
Tapping is unbelieveably easy. I can't see how anyone could find it hard.

To give you an idea of what that means, I cannot make my third and fourth fingers of my right hand move independently without a supreme effort of will. |
Seriously, how the hell did you guys come up with neoli so fast? It took me awhile to think of a "famous" MXer back in the day, and after two hints, you guys nailed it? Riva and I had no clue how to side-step that :(
I seriously thought the joke would carry on for at least another day. Oh well. Adios and good night. |
You mean like two-hand tapping? Ah crap. I suck enough at regular tapping as it is...
In all reality, it is easier then it looks. The hardest thing about the song is making it all come together in the right time and tempo and such. Try the intro out really slow, one finger at a time and see how easy it is in all reality. Try this : I label fingers as 1 2 3 4 : 1 - index 2 - middle 3 - ring 4 pinky Take finger number one on the fretting hand an do a hard hammer on on the 7th fret on the E string, then take your third finger and do a hard hammer on the 9th fret on the A string. Then your picking hand use finger number two to tap the first note on the 12th fret on the B string then use your number one finger to tap the other note on the 12th fret on the D string. Then for the next bar for your fretting hand, use finger number 1 for the 10th fret on A string, and your second finger for the D string hammer-on on the 11th fret. Then use finger number two and number one in the same way as you did on the 14th fret. Take it slow, and you will see it is easier then it looks. |
Yo thread. I just got back from cd shopping, the dentist and eating chinese.
I got Dredg- Catch Without Arms and Mogwai- Come on Die Young. I just started listening to CWA, and so far it's great. Oh, and my swelling is almost gone.
I love mogwai... you got rock action? |
Take it slow, and you will see it is easier then it looks.
As I said, the problem mostly stems from the fact that I'm so dominantly left-handed. I have very little fine manual dexterity in my right hand. |
Then why aren't you playing a left handed guitar if that is the case?
|
Didn't you guys win the Little League World Series like, five years ago? I only remember this because it was made out to be the Little League version of the Miracle on Ice.
Yep, but it wasnt my area of toms river or school, i live in the area that goes to the north toms river schools, they were from toms river east.
No... Then again, you have the Knicks, Nets, Rutgers, and St. John's, so basketball probably wouldn't be high on your list.
And dont forget the fact that basketball is such a boring sport to watch.
Its Walkers, thats the way its meant to be. You and your foreign names... Why can't they just keep it classic?
Look here you sill brit, its Lay's potato chips, not Walkers potato crisps, and they are called Lays everywhere else (except germany, it is Walkers here as well) because they are owned by the FritoLay company.
Hey there. American. I like the British one better, but, it's not on often. Chip is the extra tonight. Don't like him too much, I like Greg.
The american one is terrible in comparison to the british one, i get barely any laughs out of it. First of all Wayne Brady is not funny, nor is anyone else on the show who was not on the british version. Then they make it worse by overcomplicating everything in the american one. Like when doing the dating show instead of doing something simple yet funny like lets say an Angry Neighbor, they make it so over the top that its not funny like something ridiculous like Ryan is in love with colins left ear hair and wants to marry his right shoe, while doing the hokey pokey and making pies, or whatever. On top of that Drew Carey is not that funny on the show, whereas Clive Anderson was brilliant. That being said i really do wish british humor was more popular in the US.
Has anyone seen Fantastic 4 yet? If so how did you like it, I am thinking about going to see it some time soon.
That movie better be good because fantastic 4 is my all time favorite comic book. If it is bad, someone is getting decapitated. |
Then why aren't you playing a left handed guitar if that is the case?
Because it's much, much easier to get my right hand to hold a guitar pick than properly fret the strings. Believe me, I've tried. Also I'm too damn poor to afford paying extra for a left-hand guitar. |
I'm left-handed, but the fingers on my right hand are more co-ordinated than the ones on my left.

The only problem I had was finding a left-handed guitar that I liked. When I bought mine, they had a sale on some nice ESPs, but it turns out ESP don't make left-handed guitars at all
I ended up with a BC Rich Platnium Warlock, which ended up being better than the ESP I wanted :D |
While wondering the street of my little town checking out the market stalls on today I came across a stall which I have never seen in my three years of living in the village. A CD stall. I instantly went to browse and it was unfortunately full of music for older people such as Cliff Richard. All hope was not lost though, maybe I could find some Pink Floyd or Cream. Unfortunately not. However, I did happen to come across a CD by a band that some people on MX are quite big fans of. So I pulled a crisp ten pound note out of my pocket and bought the CD. I then went home and placed it in my CD player. The CD then started to play and it was good. THe CD was L.A. Woman by The Doors.

I started this post last night, but my computer crashed and I couldn't be bothered to restart it.
Oh, on the political satire thread? I said there weren't too many, I think. The only one I know of would be The Daily Show. I think I mentioned that.
No, it was definitely in this thread, and it was a blanket statement, too. Maybe it just wasn't you.
It was possibly the greatest advert ever made. *Irn Bru ad description*
Yeah, that was a great advert. My vote for favourite still goes to that Guinness one, from about ten years ago now, with Louis Armstrong.
Uh oh, Bartender deleted a post...
No, I didn't. I wasn't even online at the time, and why would I delete a random, perfectly good, post? :-/
hahahaha that's a great quote, my favorite from the second series is when hes describing the entire bond film.
My favourite was always just simply his "back of the net", replete with kicking motion. It gained a bit of a cult following from myself and a certain friend. It was usually just a great show in general, though.
I didn't like Red Dead Revolver.
Why not? I thought it was great, personally.
Look here you sill brit, its Lay's potato chips, not Walkers potato crisps, and they are called Lays everywhere else (except germany, it is Walkers here as well) because they are owned by the FritoLay company.
Just to clarify, no one ever refers to them as "potato crisps" :) Dane Cook sucks. |
Well, it's about twenty till 9. I need to get some sleep.
|
Right, this has made me hate the Metalcore section more. How was he not banned for this?
|
Just to clarify, no one ever refers to them as "potato crisps" :)
yes, i know, you just use the word Crisps, but the bags here say Potato Crisps on them, dunno if its like that in the good ole UK or not, as ive never been there. What I do find funny is that in the US if you say crisps, you mean something totally different than the generic potato chip. Like if you go to the snack aisle in a supermarket you will find Chips (as in what we americans call chips, not french fries) and Crisps right next to each other. The difference is that the crisps are processed a lot more, thinner, and generally healthier for you. So, big difference there. |
I'd laugh if you get banned for posting links to pr0n..
they have immunity, didn't you see? |
Why do they have immunity? Because they wear girl pants?
|

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=193593&page=945&pp=25
and then they say musicianforums is a family site "****" Isnt your main account activated yet? |
Uhuh...
And the fact that if they get banned they may kill themselves... |
Why do they have immunity? Because they wear girl pants?
Well yeah, the mods feel bad because the members of the thread all will be unable to bear children due to their tight crotches destroying their testiclites. |
And Metalfan : about 7 hours left. I thought i commited the crime two weeks yesterday, but it was two weeks today :( Im going to take the link down now, as to not get banned again. |
