Are you playing guitar ole man?

I am writing an imperative grammar, and will then try and produce a functional grammar.

I think I'm gonna fail this one.

badtaste 12-15-2008 12:04 AM

Not at the moment. Bit tired from working out and shite.
Roge is bored as ****.

Edit: I'm quite enjoying this gem at the moment, please confirm or deny.

"A Parser for Things is a function from Strings to Lists of Pairs of Things and Strings."

Quite nicely formed: type Parser a = String -> [(a, String)]
I don't think I'll ever know wtf you're on about.

Chu 12-15-2008 02:29 AM

Yummy.

http://hi5.subtire.com/eris.php?i=507469833 **NSFW**

Edit:
Basically, a parser grabs some block of text (usually in a specific form), and converts it to tokens, and then analyses said tokens, making sure they conform to some specific expression.

You'll write a grammar, and then from that grammar (usually through an automated process), you'll produce a language.

Basically, the parser just makes sure whatever text is passed to it, fits inside the language specified by the grammar.

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:04 AM

Not much guys. Got back from Bunnings. I love that place. I live about 500m from one and go there quite often just to look at things... at 9pm at night. Tonight I bought a bbq cover.

Chu 12-15-2008 04:05 AM

I'm doing legato runs on my geet.

Edit: Aaron - "Why keep money, when you can waste it!"

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:13 AM

haha yeah. should be my motto. i swear i've spent more the past year than i've earned.

Chu 12-15-2008 04:18 AM

I wasn't making fun of you dude, sorry if it came across that way, I just love this.
Tonight I bought a bbq cover.
I just imagined you buying a cover, but not actually owning a bbq

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:23 AM

haha. don't worry, I am.

I do. It's on my balcony so it blows off often, so I have to buy a new one every few months.

Chu 12-15-2008 04:25 AM

That's a bit annoying man.

Why not drill a hole in it, and get like 50cm of wire (see edit), and tie it to the barbeque? lol

I'm such a Jewish bastard, without actually being Jewish (although, I am, by definition of the term, a bastard).

Edit: I can't find a decent picture of it, but I think it's called like suspension wire or somethng.

It includes a metal noose on either end, and the wire is a pretty durable/flexible cross "folding" I guess.

Sorry about bad description, but lol.

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:27 AM

..cause then I don't get to go to bunnings. haha.

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:30 AM

Chu 12-15-2008 04:30 AM

But, going to Bunnings every time for a new bbq cover is kind of repetitive. :upset:

Why not buy like, useless tools you might one day use, but probably not (this is what I buy, but rarely, and very specialist tools, I justify the purchase by the fact I might need it one day, and it's just so darn cool, lol), perfectly justifies a visit to Bunnings tbh.

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:36 AM

Oh I do that too. I have an orbital-sander and a 3-in-one-heater-fan-and-light somewhere, still in their boxes.

Chu 12-15-2008 04:40 AM

****ing awesome

badtaste 12-15-2008 04:44 AM

Aaron and Chu variety hour.

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:44 AM

Yeah. And tins of floor laminate.

horseypie 12-15-2008 04:45 AM

lol aaron

you keep confirming my beliefs that youre actually 40 years old

Chu 12-15-2008 04:47 AM

He's aged mentally at double the speed of us.

Aaron truly is the next big step in Human evolution!

Aaron 12-15-2008 04:54 AM

haha really? I do plenty of stupid things, don't worry. I just don't sleep so I have twice as many stories.

Aaron 12-15-2008 05:16 AM

I want to buy this:

http://carsguide.news.com.au/site/search/vehicle-details/D_9415335/vehicle-search/@&N=4294962119+45++508+4294965956&searchType=1&vehicleType=1

Chu 12-15-2008 05:17 AM

Aaron 12-15-2008 05:20 AM

Chu 12-15-2008 05:23 AM

http://ecycletours.com/images/Images02/SwitzDigitals/Splugapass%20tandem2.JPG

And how is that not possible with this set-up?

Aaron 12-15-2008 05:25 AM

Where's the paint go?

Chu 12-15-2008 05:26 AM

Come on, be creative.

Water bottle holder? Like a tube of tomato sauce, lol.

Aaron 12-15-2008 05:28 AM
