velvet dawn and rifles at recess are really like, early '00s metalcore style

mostly cause thats when they were around

illpressureurhinges1 04-24-2008 12:10 PM
That's typically the worst part of a deathcore band.
That's usually why I don't listen to it. I'm more of a metalcore person.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-24-2008 12:12 PM

idk, a lot of deathcore vocalists have really good growls, specifically the dudes from viatrophy, the red shore (rip), and veil of maya

I haven't heard the other two, but I didn't much care for VoM.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-24-2008 12:13 PM

his vocals are ****ing good

illpressureurhinges1 04-24-2008 12:14 PM

You may be right, but I just think those kind of vocals in general don't appeal much to me.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-24-2008 12:14 PM

death metal vocals?

http://myspace.com/theredshore

seriously, ****ing epic growls

illpressureurhinges1 04-24-2008 12:16 PM

Yah... Personally I like metalcore more because more of them have at least some melodic vocals. I can handle them, but they have to have awesome instrumentals to go with them.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-24-2008 12:16 PM

idk, a lot of metalcore vocalists these days sound like absolute ****ing ****

illpressureurhinges1 04-24-2008 12:18 PM

Yah I guess, but I still prefer the melodic thing. But usually if death band is really good, I deal with the vocals.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-24-2008 12:18 PM

i just like gritty deep *** vocals and really shrieky screaming

and like, metalcore shouting ****'s awesome too, but in the sense of like, architects or underoath

illpressureurhinges1 04-24-2008 12:19 PM

I like harsh vocals mixed in with melodic vocals. So I guess metalcore is just for me!

botb 04-24-2008 02:04 PM
They're not too band. I just usually don't care for deathcore bands' vocals.
Hernan Hermida's vocals = instant jizz :eek::eek::eek:

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-24-2008 03:07 PM

yeah he's good

adb 04-24-2008 09:53 PM

Yeah Viatrophy is easily of the best deathcore bands

Invicta_Veritas 04-24-2008 10:47 PM
doesnt like, everyone in england bash bmth?

justin: you were wrong son, whitechapel is nowhere near as good as a lot of deathcore bands, kind of boring
1. Yes.

2. Are you serious? Whitechapel owns damn near every "deathcore" band I've heard imo, especially in terms of being interesting/changing things up and decent songwriting.

Vokills 04-25-2008 06:37 AM

LMAO! i hate bmth sooooo ghey. oh anyways...
everyone goes so crazy for whitechapel its kind of funny =P
i mean yeah they are ok but pretty unoriginal sometimes, i like Despised Icon a lot more. you guys should look up a band called "Jerome" now THERE is some ****ing great deathcore.
too bad they broke up T_T

illpressureurhinges1 04-25-2008 01:51 PM

Aakon_Keetreh 04-25-2008 01:52 PM

illpressureurhinges1 04-25-2008 02:02 PM

Pretty much.

masscows 04-25-2008 02:07 PM

Whitechapel sucks my balls

illpressureurhinges1 04-25-2008 02:09 PM

That sucks for them...

masscows 04-25-2008 02:10 PM

I made sure not to wax just so they'd be picking hairs out of their teeth for the next few days.

illpressureurhinges1 04-25-2008 02:12 PM

Harsh man... I hate that shit!

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-25-2008 04:20 PM

guys, seriously, talking **** about bring me the horizon and then going on about boring music

good jokes itt

Pete 04-26-2008 06:26 AM

to be fair, you only like them because of their guyliners

Dimmu Burger 04-26-2008 08:37 AM

I like Whitechapel and Despised Icon a good bit. I can't really pick between them.

DJTeeLay 04-26-2008 12:37 PM

Who hear digs Red Chord's debut?

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-26-2008 01:25 PM
to be fair, you only like them because of their guyliners
or the fact that they have really good vocals and sweet riffs

and lyrics like:
"SHE STARTS HER NEW DIET TODAY, OF LIQUOR AND DICK"

encmetalhead 04-26-2008 05:13 PM

I still miss the From =( GOV needs to record some new music soon

Hawks 04-26-2008 05:41 PM

Anybody happen to hear the new Cryptopsy? Its no longer Tech Death, its Deathcore.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-26-2008 05:59 PM

lol no its not deathcore

Hawks 04-26-2008 06:02 PM

It sounds like Deathcore to me.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-26-2008 06:03 PM

then you have no clue what the **** hardcore sounds like

Tyler 04-26-2008 06:04 PM

yeah, there's some 'deathcore' sound in it in that it sounds like a lot of death metal bands coming out of quebec right now but the 'core really isn't present at all.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-26-2008 06:05 PM

word.

Tyler 04-26-2008 06:09 PM

Les Quebecois: Not exactly French, not exactly Deathcore.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-26-2008 06:24 PM
Les Quebecois: Not exactly French, not exactly Deathcore.
