Is he the director?
I remember I saw some dope music videos directed by the same guy who did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

But Little Miss Sunshine > Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Charlie Kaufman's a writer. He also wrote: Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Human Nature. (and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, but that was just an adaptation.)

He wrote/is directing Synecdoche, New York though. I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out.

And about the music videos, I think you're thinking of Spike Jonze. He directed Being John Malkovich and Adaptation. I don't think Gondry does any music videos. But I could be wrong.

Human Nature's script was so good, but Michel Gondry totally took it in the opposite direction. It had such potential to be a really dark movie, but it was too cheerful looking. Synecdoche, New York is apparently really dark and really creepy. (there I go, hyping it up again.)

Banshee 03-25-2007 06:57 AM

Ace man, i only know the song "bombshell", but it's awesome, have a good 'un!

Drum Phil 03-25-2007 06:59 AM

Nah. May 27th.

Next gig is The Chaos Engine on the 30th. Gotta travel 4 hours and 250 miles to get to it though.

Banshee, the new powerman album is headed more towards the punky side of things.

The Ska Man 03-25-2007 07:19 AM
I was listening to NOFX, Minor Threat, the Offspring, Sham 69, the vibrators and Fugazi when you were still wearing diapers. So don't try to give me a lesson about "What is punk and what is not".
I'll give you Minor Threat, they're rad. I love Sham. Vibrators and FUgazi'll always have my respect.
I don't see how The Offspring are punk. And NOFX is pop-punk.

And yeah, a lot of older, spirit of '77 bands sold out. that doesn't mean they all did. Look at Social D. Not to mention Stiff Little FIngers, who are punk as crap. AND ANYTHING from the whole spirit of '69 movement is not sold out in the least. Slaughter & The Dogs, Cock Sparrer, Cockney Rejects, Blitz, UK Subs, not to mention Sham.

And even today, punk and Oi! still go on. Look at bands like The Briggs, Flatfoot 56, The Templars, The Bouncing Souls, FBS.

dudes!

today i was in a good mood and after dropping off a girl back to her place and i had the country rock music on LOUD and my windows down singing real loud. I was HAPPY! :D

Anyways, i come to one of those DUI checkpoints and the officer comes over to my car and i greeted him with a big "Good evening, Mr. Police Officer, how are you today?" and he was like "I'm very well, thank you sir. We are conducting random breath testing... etc. etc." and i was like "I'm pleased to be of any assistance!" and after i blew negative i winked at him and said "Yup, I've been keeping out of trouble, sir!" ;)

He seemed abit bemused by my extreme happiness and eagerness to comply i think hehe :D

Jezen 03-25-2007 07:54 AM

Why did you get banned? I don't see you screwing around unless you're banned.

Suck My Squirrel 438 03-25-2007 07:57 AM

i got banned for making a problem user report about Josiah making posts against the site rules (issued by mx). my post got deleted too :(

Jezen 03-25-2007 08:00 AM

You should've taken a screenshot, that way they can never cover the evidence.

Jeff 03-25-2007 08:01 AM

those weren't the rules for the whole site though, those were the rules for general discussion so your point was mute anyway.

Suck My Squirrel 438 03-25-2007 08:02 AM

no they are site wide rules.

Jeff 03-25-2007 08:04 AM

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=487931 right?

doesn't say anythin about sitewide there.
