Haha, no! It was pretty damn fun. Not just the girls, but the entire atmosphere wasn't what I expected. Lap dances were a plus though.

I am so happy with myself.

Heres why:

On my HND course at the ACM, each week I have to learn a new song on the Monday, and perform it with a random selection of other people from the same group (there are 3 groups, each consisting of equal shares of HND Drummers, bassists, vocalists, and g**tarists, Im in group 3). From flicking through this term, I got the shock of my life when I saw the words "Sir Duke". I had attempted to learn that horn unison bit before, and lets just say I sucked miserably.

Anyway, today I though I should have a go at it, using the sheet music (as opposed to the tab I had used before). Half and hour later, I am sitting here smiling like a maniac - I can do it.

I now also officially hate tabs. Full stop. Sheet music is so much better - just from glancing at it, I could see that the tab was making me start in a stupid area of the neck to play it.

Anyway, Im stoked, hows everyone else?


*Edit* I also forgot to mention, that I started to learn the solo now, because they dont have a horn section at the ACM, and I've heard from 2 different sources 2 different things. 1 - They are hiring a horn section for it, or (more likely) 2 - Its going to be a bass solo instead *edit*

I'm bummed. They are doing work in our church's sanctuary tonight which means an acoustic set somewhere else, which means I don't play since we got like 2, maybe 3 guitarists there tonight. :upset:

congrats! i turned 18 on the 23rd of last month. it's cool because you have less restrictions, but then again it's depressing because any crime that would have once been small is now 10x the punishment :(. plus the statutory rape charges that you are now eligible for.

Not necessarily. Teams sometimes go on winning streaks of more than 10 games. And not that it's a streak, but at one point in this season the Twins went something like 30 or 40 - 10. That was crazy.

So I think I'm gonna get 3-4 proper solo songs together and go down and play at an open mic down at a local part in the next couple of weeks.
