Bad Blood 12-01-2005 12:48 PM

I need some other Coheed albums apart from Good Apollo.

Anyone willing to send?

Dead Star 12-01-2005 01:23 PM

If you go on AIM, yeah I can.

cobert 12-06-2005 11:17 AM

Bumper.

I dont see how this got on the second page. Really though, how?

DJ Ducksauce 12-06-2005 06:51 PM

There isn't much to talk about pertaining to Coheed anymore.

So...Claudio's double neck is pretty sweet looking...

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 12-06-2005 07:02 PM

To me the most epic song is either The Crowing or IKSOSE:#

deathscreamingsheep 12-09-2005 03:42 PM

I have to say Coheed has definately inspired me. I did attempt to write songs following a story before but the band scrapped them, still I never did lose the plotline for said story so maybe now I've got them all into Coheed they'll be more accepting.

Gnarmageddon 12-09-2005 03:44 PM

Wooo, the Co&Ca thread is back where it belongs.

I'm listening to them for the first time in ages.

Society Sellout 12-09-2005 04:21 PM

I keep going back to their first album, dang it's so good.

I did finally learn how to play Welcome home, which is insanely fun to play and the intro part to The Final Cut which is pretty cool as well.

cobert 12-09-2005 06:21 PM

So i came up with a cheesy interp of 'keeping the blade'. It has the same epic feel of 'The Ring in Return', but is simplified, so it gives a sense of realism that wasnt imposed by the grand scale of TRIR.

I guess thats why it sounds that way. Iunno.

deathscreamingsheep 12-10-2005 07:12 AM

This has probably been asked a lot in the thread so far, but I'm actually quite interested in the story that Coheed have created. Is there anywhere I can read a good interpretation?

Also, is it actually an alright story or is it just silly (ala Queenshryke [sp?]).

DepthsOfDreams555 12-10-2005 08:53 AM

It is a sci-fi story just go to CobaltandCalcium.com they have a bunch of interpretations or you can go to the CoheedandCambria.com Message Board. Either one have plenty of stuff. I love Keeping the Blade that is a good idea cob I didn't really pay much attention to The Ring In Return when I first got In Keeping Secrets then I really listened to Keeping the Blade and loved it then I went back and listened to TRIR.

This is a good one:

I have the first two comics in Jpg format if anyone is interested in the story and a pretty good read(it helps a lot with understanding the story) they can hit me up on AIM(McCoolajr).

I got the graphic novel yesterday too :). I love the art work.

Holyed 12-10-2005 04:19 PM

I downloaded the comic too, but i guess I've never read a comic in my life, so its hard for me to understand. But I swear it just complicates things even further.

DepthsOfDreams555 12-10-2005 04:59 PM

Ya it does make things more complicated but it eventually leads to better understanding.

Any time ive ever been on the coheed and cambria sites message boards and anyone asked about the story, they just said 'wait for the comics'. Cobalt and calciums are good, though.

Do you have the Graphic Novel in Jpg too?

Society Sellout 12-11-2005 10:17 AM
Do you have the Graphic Novel in Jpg too?
No, I could scan it all in but that would take quite a while considering it's like 120 pages long :/.

deathscreamingsheep 12-11-2005 11:05 AM

Do you know where I can buy the graphic novel? Will I have to go to a comic book store (i.e. specialist store) or can I get it from a major chain store.

cobert 12-11-2005 11:54 AM

Aside from comic book stores, you can find the Graphic Novels at Hot Topic.

TMA 12-11-2005 07:27 PM

Word. I learned Willing Well III last night. Not all that simple to play, but really f*cking fun once you know how to.

:chug: nice, the whole 7 minutes?

DepthsOfDreams555 12-11-2005 08:10 PM

I really think my parents are going to end up getting me a guitar for Christmas despite the fact I already got my snowboard cause I have been buggin them for a long time and we saw some good deals today. I def. wanna learn some Coheed.

Oh, all right. If you ever do though, tell me. I almost had it, but my parents saw the PA Advisory sticker. If my dad hadn't said anything, I would have it already.

Thats dumb it has like three F words and a couple other swear words here and there its not that bad.

DJ Ducksauce 12-11-2005 08:46 PM

That's what they get for being on a majorl label...:(

DepthsOfDreams555 12-11-2005 08:49 PM

Ya still you should still just go get it and like let your parents see it. Its not that bad. My dad read it. Your parents could be like Nazi's though.
:chug: nice, the whole 7 minutes?
Well, I know everything except for the specific notes between the first "Goodnight, tonight, goodbye" and "If then should the come home".
The rest of it I know note for note. That's just a bit more of a difficult part to play, but I bet I'll have it within the next week. :thumb:

Special Brew 12-12-2005 01:37 AM

I haven't posted in here since the new album's release. I miss the old days when Co & Ca had a dark feel to their music. They are still great, but they don't screate the atmosphere like they used to. TSSTB will always be there best album because of this.

I'm severly dissappointed, since the whole dark feel to them matched with the storyline so well.

Ya that is true but the new stuff matches well with the storyline still.

B 12-12-2005 06:53 AM

I agree with SSTB always being their best. I, however, can't find mine :(.

Special Brew 12-12-2005 11:48 AM
Ya that is true but the new stuff matches well with the storyline still.
The atmosphere doesn't.

cobert 12-12-2005 06:36 PM

I always thought of SSTB as their best, even though i never quite saw it as setting a dark atmosphere.

DepthsOfDreams555 12-12-2005 07:48 PM

Well I can see the dark atmosphere but I don't think the 'atmosphere' really effects the story very much. I think their music is fine with the story. Atmospheric and every other aspect haha just really hard to depict.

Special Brew 12-12-2005 08:00 PM

Well, it has a darker atmosphere when compared to the other two albums. The darker feeling matched much bette rwith the twisted storyline than the new stuff does. I still like it, but it just doesn't have the same feel. I don't really know how to describe what I mean.

cobert 12-12-2005 08:05 PM

I know what you mean. The lyrics to three evils and that point in the story dont exactly match up with the music.

DepthsOfDreams555 12-12-2005 08:33 PM

Clearly it is KBI haha.
