Holy shit!

Rage is playing in New York. I am going to do everything in my power to go.

Darkness 02-25-2007 08:22 PM

God dammit... just do a full fledged world tour already.

GenuineImitation 02-25-2007 08:25 PM

I think they will wind up doing that. Once they see the crowds reaction, Im sure they will change their minds. Especially since Audioslave is taking a break.

Darkness 02-25-2007 08:28 PM

But Morello will probably be busy with The Nightwatchman. Not that that's a bad thing, but he won't have more time for Rage until probably the new year... and who knows what the other guys will be up too.

Think about it this way. Morello may not be able to think about RATM for another year because of his busy schedule, but its better than never thinking about it again.

niobium 02-26-2007 12:47 AM

You guys do know that Zach has short hair now, right?

I saw and thought it weird.

I don't think Tom's Nightwatchman tour would be massive. I hope they see the reaction of the crowd and remember how loved RATM were.

Thor 02-26-2007 12:19 PM

^^^
They still are.

The Nightwatchman thing is ok. I love his guitar work in it but Tom wasn't really meant to be a singer. He's a good songwriter, though.

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-26-2007 12:38 PM

Where have you heard The Nightwatchman? I'm sort of interested in it.

Thor 02-26-2007 12:41 PM

I just checked out some of his vids on youtube. I wish I could pick up a CD somewhere, but I don't that there are any.

Yeah man of course! I was going to change it to "they are", but they havn't released anything in years so technically... they WERE great!

Fave band ever  I think I've said that phrase a million times on MX.

Oh and Tom has a really good voice actually. Good folk voice. The Nightwatchman stuff is great, I have the Axis Of Justice CD... got some songs on that. He has a Nightwatchman site aswell.

I'll probably buy his CD.

It's ok they're mine too. :thumb:

Them and Opeth at least. It's disgusting how close each of them are to being my favorite, but I can never decide.

Stoo 02-26-2007 06:26 PM

Decide...

Opeth are my second. Let's be buddies!

Thor 02-26-2007 06:30 PM

Whoa, you're awesome. :chug:

If you check out the Axis Of Justice CD he released with Serj, he I think has 2 songs on there, both very cool. I really like his stuff, I think he's actually a decent singer.

This song is GREAT! The guitar work is beautiful.

Stoo 02-26-2007 07:22 PM

Yeah "Until the End" is on the Axis CD. Such a class song.

"Union Song" is great too!

That Vid you posted Thor is from the Axis of Justice DVD. You get that with the CD! Yay!

Loads of great artist perform on that mofo...

Maynard
Serj obv
Flea
Brad Wilk
Chris Cornell
Jurassic 5
John Dolmayan
Pete Yorn

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-26-2007 07:35 PM

That's a manly voice right there.

Darkness 02-26-2007 08:40 PM

He does have balls, I'll agree with you there. :p

niobium 02-27-2007 09:36 AM

So yeah The Nightwatchman is going to be on Jimmy Kimmel tomorrow. Or Sputnik just says "Tom Morello". I'll watch.

Thor 02-27-2007 12:49 PM
That's a manly voice right there.
Yeah, it's like a deeper Johnny Cash. Yes, that's possible.

trentlogain 02-27-2007 09:02 PM

i hope the band reunites now that audioslave is no more and makes more studio albums. i know they are going to be at some summer concert event.

Thor 02-27-2007 09:13 PM

I'm 98% sure that they won't.

GenuineImitation 02-28-2007 03:49 PM

Im fairly certain Im going to see them when they play New York.

Im kind of worried about the crowd for the Wu-Tang Clan. While I enjoy some Wu-Tang, I think I'll stick out like a sore thumb. It would probably be best if I left after RATM.

Thor 02-28-2007 03:53 PM

...and why RATM is opening for Wu-Tang is beyond me.

Stoo 02-28-2007 06:14 PM

Danger Bird 02-28-2007 06:24 PM

because Wu-Tang Clan ain't nuthin ta fuck wit

Darkness 02-28-2007 06:57 PM
...and why RATM is opening for anyone is beyond me.
Yes. I'm sure plenty of bands would kill for the chance to open for RATM...

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-28-2007 07:08 PM

Isn't it a festival anyways? You don't really 'open' at a festival...

Danger Bird 02-28-2007 08:00 PM

You mean Coachella or the Wu-Tang shows?
