Make a fake ID, that is what I did for my friend, take your school ID and print out a little piece of paper that says Age: 16 then color photocopy your ID with the little age thing on it. Then get it laminated. This can be done for 3 dollars at Staples/

Are you already into hardcore/metalcore bands? If so just list them to see what kind of stuff you like most.

I haven't really listened to anything in these genres. I need a good starting point.

If you're looking for some metalcore try Botch.

Strike Anywhere is what got me started into hardcore. Then comeback kid.

There's a lot of different styles so i'll just tell you a bunch of different stuff.

For hardcore, check out Gorilla Biscuits, Judge, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Terror, Kid Dynamite, Comeback Kid, Suicide File, Strike Anywhere, Modern Life is War, Ensign, Dag Nasty, Count Me Out, Blood for Blood, Madball, Blacklisted, Sick of it All, Hatebreed(hardcore or metalcore)and Stay Gold. I'm trying to give you bands that will be easy to find stuff on, even though some of these won't.

For metalcore, check out All Out War, Turmoil, Shattered Realm, 100 Demons, All Else Failed, Converge, and Death by Stereo.
