Yeah, that's the one my brother likes. I'm pretty sure he puts it in his top 10 albums of all time.

Eliminator 11-28-2006 07:08 PM

It's not that good.

then again i've only listened to it all the way through once or twice

I'm going to go and listen to that right now. It's been years since I've listened to it.

various Don Caballero albums

just back from Don Cab, they were quite good. They're probably the only band I've ever seen where the whole audience was entirely focused on the drummer rather than anyone else. And the support band was great, No Kilter, they reminded me of Faraquet.

Split Enz - True Colours
Sun Kil Moon - Tiny Cities
Ulver - Kveldssanger

Beatles - Love

Surprisingly, it's awesome. Potentially my second favourite Beatles album, even.

why hasn't last.fm updated

Zmev 11-28-2006 09:16 PM

Mastodon - Blood Mountain

Sweet riffs, but I don't like the vocals.

Happymeal 11-28-2006 09:18 PM

^Same.

pixiesfanyo 11-28-2006 09:24 PM

no the riffs suck too.

Zappa 11-28-2006 09:39 PM

It still amazes me how soothing Cluster '71 by Cluster manages to be through all the noise.

asdf 11-28-2006 10:10 PM

Estradasphere - Hunger Strike.

I only listened to this song. The song is almost 20 minutes long, and everytime I listen to it I'm blown away. Oh my god.

asymm 11-28-2006 10:21 PM

The Blood Brothers - Burn, Piano Island, Burn
This album is amazing. Crimes was so fizzled out and dulled compared to the extended, swirling sound of this album. Anyone have any good recommendations for someone who wants the extended intensity of this record (not necessarily the Blood Brothers in general)?

YDload 11-28-2006 10:24 PM

asymm, listen to The Fall of Troy

They put up a live version of "Seattlantis" on their myspace too :)

br3ad_man 11-28-2006 10:49 PM

1 Sun Kil Moon 28
2 Red House Painters 23
3 Silver Jews 10
4 Ulver 7

I was away last week.
kveldssanger is pretty sweet
Probably the best album ever put out by a black metal band.

I tried listening to that last night. I just can't get into it.

And way, I listened to Real Gone by Tom Waits for the first time in probably over a year, and it was good.

biografiend 11-28-2006 11:33 PM

Me either.

My last.fm still hasnt updated :realangry:
However, on the first listen Silent Shout seems very promising. I've also been checking out Islaja. It's nothing impressive so far.

ATM 11-28-2006 11:50 PM

It's good background music, though.
