I think Lars just views Metallica as a business operation and not really a band, honestly i don't think he goes out of his way to be a prick but he still acts like one.

Fade to Black tuned down is amazing. I love it.

I'd do the intro to Battery or Blackened. Since Battery ends in an E chord you could easily switch into FWTBT, Of Wolf And Man, Holier Than Thou, etc. Then you can move it on from there. Also the middle of blackened pre-solo kicks *** as does about 9:15-25 in...AJFA

yea I was so pissed!

it's from 82 so I'll have to paint it black (rolling stones)
and get a black grill for it, but it's gonna be really sweet!
I'll also have to get a uber metal but other then that it should be awsome :thumb:

Quite possibley one of my favorite metallica songs (and songs of all time) I'm doing a small school report on this song, and I was wondering if i could get some opinions/views on what metallica was aiming for when they wrote it from some good fans. - Fade to black for those who don't read titles

Oh,and if you're trying to record metallicas fade to black - I could probally learn the rythm or lead with in a week or so. Time pending..er maybe a little longer I have a vacation coming up in a few days XD XD XD XD

Yea cause there really isn't one. My fav. metallica song keeps checking quite frequently so I'll disagree with my own posts in a week or so. When I just joined the forums I was enter sandman nut, now it got boring. :upset:

Unfortunately I still can't help you guys with the project as it turns out my banning was a perm. one. (banned from using my home computer not from mx)

I really wish I could at least hear you're guys' stuff at least but I can't even do that. For all you younger guys learn from my mistakes. Boobies are not worth missing out on covering metallica. There are quite a few guys that might disagree but they seriously aren't worth it.

Lol, Anyways I noticed a lot about Favorite songs, I'm basing this on the song I always love to listen to no matter what. Granted I may listen to master of puppets more time in a week than fade to black, or Creeping death the next, or hell even Kall of the ktulu, I mean they're all Songs that are so epic that choosing a favorite seems impossible, but I love fade to black with more of a passion then any other...

I wouldn't consider it nu-metal just because the tone is so much better. Yes, it's missing solos and the lyrics aren't great, but those are the only things that make in nu-metal.

Fade to Black is my favorite song. Is there some way I could like make a signature saying that? I say it a lot...

But St. Anger's not good nu-metal at all :confused:

St. Anger stinks no matter what genre you classify it as in my opinion.
