That's just weird... And slightly obsessive. I found this fansite for Joathan Rhys Meyers which was so obsessive it scared me today. Imagine being famous and having people love you that much. Freaky.
Finns roll their r's right?
Yep
I am going to learn how to play this...
I was thinking about it :upset: Argh...me dog just dribbled all over me knee. Jake!!! Did you see that I uploaded some Mr. Bungle for you, so that you can be educated? |
I wish I could roll my r's.
One day I think I'll learn how to speak Finnish. After I'm fluent in French and gainm the authority to bomb the Germans. |
Finnish is meant to be one of the hardest languages to learn, I think.
I have no idea about it gramatically speaking, I just know bits and pieces from having picked it up. You really don't like Germans, do you? |
So I bought Love All The People by Bill Hicks today and I thought I would read you all an extract:
"Speaking of Satan, ah... I was watching Rush Limbaugh the other day. Doesn't Rush Limbaugh remind you of one of those gay guys who likes to lay in a tub while other men pee on him? Am I the only one? Can't you just see his fat body in a tub while Reagan, Quayle, and Bush just chhhhhhhhhh! Just stand around pissing on him, and he can't- his little piggly-wiggly dick can't get hard. 'Aargh, aargh, I can't get hard. Reagan, pee in my mouth.' 'Well, hows that, Rush?' Still can't get hard, so they call in Barbara Bush. She takes her pearls off, puts 'em up his ass, then squats over him, undoes her girdle, her wrinkled, flaccid labia unfolds halfway down to her knees, like some ball-less scrotum. 'Aargh, aargh, aargh.' She squeezes out a link into his mouth. Finally his dick gets half-hard. " Truly beautiful writing :)
I gather since this is Bill Hicks I am supposed to laugh, but I just can't seem to laugh. Better get Babara Bush in... ------------- So, on my way home from work, I ran into no less than 3 RBT units, with the final one pulling me over. The bloke who tested me saw me in my work uniform and said, "The guy up there (who waved me down) should have let you go, but I'll just test you anyway." So of course I am dead sober, and since there was no one else waiting, he just chatted for a bit about the music I had playing (Iron Maiden). It was fairly cool, and since having a good relationship with cops is always a good idea, I didn't mind have a gasbag. He ended up glancing at my driver's license and saying he'd probably remember me if we ever ran into each again. So yeah, now I have two aquaintances on the force. On another note, work was absolutely chockers tonight. Couldn't bloody breathe, it was so busy. |

I think, that I like the new HIM single. First impressions aren't bad but I'd have rather it sounded more like the previous albums.
The new aslbum should be good. :D |

I'm hungry..... |
Hey Jason, do you still have that cover of See Emily Play that I sent you over msn like 6 months ago?
Moses- Off topic discussion =/= bathroom talk :p |
Well I had a painful gassy stomach ache before that.
Bathroom talk is the best. |
Not when apples are somehow invovled.
|
Well that was the best way to describe it.
Anyway I'm going to be off to work in about half an hour. Everyone should check out the Extol downloads I put in the Nevermore thread. Kage I know you'd like Gloriana. The singer sounds like Chino in that song. |
/doesnt like Extol...

What did you hear Stoic?
|
What did you hear Stoic?
I've listened to a couple of songs off The Blueprint Dives and a couple of songs off Synergy. I suppose I was mainly disappointed because they're mislabelled as technical death so I was expecting something more familiar and closer to the bands I normally listen. Extol remind me of BTBAM. They have a nu-ish touch I peronally dislike, their clean parts sound mellow and the death parts are decent, yet sound a bit forced. Anyway, the older songs were more listenable in comparison to the newer. Dont forget I'm juding from a traditional metal background though. |
Bands I listened to yesterday: Candiria, Botch, Comity, Old Man Gloom, Unearth, US Maple, and Herbie Hancock.
All are good. |

The Oncoming Storm is the one I have, it's cool. The other bands are mostly nuts, but freakin sweet.
And I was listening to "Headhunters", Ray. Not sure what Rockit is. |

Why did you put '(not a series)' after it?
|
Why did you put '(not a series)' after it?
Because it has become alarmingly trendy to write extensive articles on bands. This practically takes away from the Featured Artists series. Now, I realize I've said that we need articles like this, but people are getting to the point where they're just shlocking material from websites or copy/pasting it and calling it a thread. That's what needs to go. Oh, and today is the crazyass Capture the Flag game. We'll see how it goes, heh. |
Capture the Flag sounds fun.
How big is the park? |
Because it has become alarmingly trendy to write extensive articles on bands. This practically takes away from the Featured Artists series.
Ah right. So it's not something that I'd have to do if I ever made a thread? |
Capture the Flag sounds fun.
How big is the park?
It's huge. There's soccer fields, disc golf course, picnic area, volleyball courts, etc. We're playing in this huge open area, but part of the area will be within the woods, too.
Ah right. So it's not something that I'd have to do if I ever made a thread?
Well, nah, I'm not saying that. If you make a thread, do it. You shouldn't feel like you can't make a thread here. Just be weary of HeavyRiva's wrath when it comes to pseudo-FAs :) |
Now, I realize I've said that we need articles like this, but people are getting to the point where they're just shlocking material from websites or copy/pasting it and calling it a thread. That's what needs to go.
I didnt do that. I used allmusic, their website, metal archives, and other sources, plus my own knowldge of the band to write it. Theres no way that I could make it sufficient without using other sources. Plus I have been trying to make them shorter so just incase someone wants to do an FA I havent gone into painstaking detail and made it so their FA wouldnt be interesting. The only reason they seem long is because they are short paragraphs. |
