Agreed. Chip is okay, but my favorite one of the American version was when Josie was a guest. They did the foreign film dub in Klingon. During one sketch, she said this one phrase that must have been pretty filthy because the entire thing was bleeped out. She couldn't understand why everyone was laughing so hard and looking so shocked until Ryan came up and explained to her you couldn't say that on American TV.

She just had a "WTF?" look on her face.
Oh, she's really good. I like her. That sucks though, that would just have made me want to know what she said.

Greg did this really funny anti-Bush skit that I saw on the Rock Against Bush DVD. It was great.

(Just realized, it wasn't Chip that was on earlier; he's on now. I can't remember the name of the other dude. He's tall and huge and white. *shrugs*)
I'll have you know that there isn't much better to do in two years of University Biology than sit around and discuss sexual processes with your tutor. :p
Fascinating. I'm sure that was a blast...

RCA 07-11-2005 08:01 PM

Biology was always my favorite class.

That describes about 40% of American comedians. Doesn't help that much.

Brad, maybe? Was that the other guy's name?

Jom 07-11-2005 08:04 PM

Ryan Stiles is the tall, huge, white guy. But he's a regular on the show.

Riva 07-11-2005 08:06 PM

I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about. :D

RCA 07-11-2005 08:06 PM

Are we talking about Who's Line?

Yes! Brad! Thanks, it was driving me crazy trying to figure out his name.

Jason: Whose Line Is It Anyway? I'm watching it now.

Colin was the bald Canadian guy who got made fun of all the time and Wayne Brady is a scary, scary dude ("RIVERSIDE, MUTHAFUCKA!!!!!" Any one who doesn't watch Chappelle's Show is not gonna get that)

Big Papi hit 16 homers, second most in a round in the history of the Derby

Steerpike 07-11-2005 08:08 PM

I'd have to say that my favorite stand-up comedian though is Dane Cook. He is a crazy motherfucker.

Do any of you remember his cameo from Mystery Men?

I don't think many people saw Mystery Men.

I've been watching a lot of Comedy Central lately, and I must say that Mitch Hedberg has topped everyone I've seen so far.

RCA 07-11-2005 08:11 PM

I never liked that movie.

Guys, guys, guys. You're all misspelling "Bill Hicks".

Riva 07-11-2005 08:12 PM

I loved Mystery Men. But I don't know what Dane Cook looks like.

I saw it when it first came out (I was only like 8-10) and I don't remember much. Only that I was extremely dissappointed at it's lack of funny.

I agree, I've seen quite a few Comedy Central Presents in the last couple days.

You might like it. Very strange comedy movie about loser superheroes in a near-future reality. One of Ben Stiller's good movies. You have to be inclined to geekiness to really appreciate it though.

Bill Macy plays The Shoveler, a superhero who uses a shovel like a martial arts weapon. Hank Azaria is The Blue Rajah, "an effete British superhero" who is a crack marksman with thrown weapons, but he only uses silverware (never knives) and specializes in forks.

Geoffrey Rush is the German villain, Casanova Frankenstein.

That's the tip of the iceberg

RCA 07-11-2005 08:18 PM

I'm going to go write my song down. Later everyone.

Illmatic 07-11-2005 08:19 PM

Ugh, Mystery Men, I remember that movie now. Ben Stiller, Janene Garofolo, Kel, and Pee Wee Herman...not exactly an All-Star Cast. That was another movie that was fairly unfunny.

 Awesome! I'm definately going to check it out. The only Ben Stiller movies I've seen are the Meet the Parents ones. I like strange movies.

Oh no, it also had that infuriating Smash Mouth song

HEY NOW YOU'RE AN ALL STAR, GET YOUR GAME ON, GOO PLAYYY
HEY NOW YOU'RE A ROCK STAR, GET THE SHOW ON, GEET PAAAID

Ugh.

Thanks for the unpleasant memories, Alex :-\

"No, no, no! That's fine."
