The main problem is that my dad/stepmom/little sister honestly have everything. They're well off and honestly dont need anything, but I still feel like I have to. Which is what I hate about Christmas.

gift cards are so informal. I used to always buy my dad and stepmom wine-glasses or wine rack **** but then they were like "you know we arent alcoholics right?" so i stopped.

Mine are always obvious. I get my mom books, my sister movies, my other sister stuff like pajama pants, my dad sweatshirts. Some years I'll mix it up but for the most part I just cater to whatever I feel like they'll really enjoy.

I just buy things for myself because I'm a selfish dick lol.

Same. It is pretty much a chore for me, since I tell people including my parents that I don't want anything, but I know they will anyway. So I feel guilty in a way if I don't go out and waste my time trying to think of what people could use or want...
