Hmmm....All County tomorrow.
Crap. :3

Blank 02-09-2006 02:45 PM

That's alot of pasta.

I made a nice plate of nachos earlier...it was awesome.

Jezen 02-09-2006 02:47 PM

I have a bad feeling that it might not want to stay down.

Janeway 02-09-2006 02:58 PM

Okay...
Does anyone think me not having an advanced regents diploma is going to limit me in my choice of colleges?
The only difference between a normal regents and an advanced is the passing of the Math B, and I didn't even take the course leading up to that exam because I knew I couldn't handle it.
I'm going to be getting just a normal regents with music honors.
I feel so lame...

Blank 02-09-2006 03:04 PM

Lame-o!

JK

That's actually really good eh?Why are you so bummed about it?

Corkofski 02-09-2006 03:07 PM

im trying to get into college with no gcse english...

Janeway 02-09-2006 03:10 PM

I dunno.
I just feel crappy.
I didn't take a lot of classes I wanted to take, instead I took AP classes that fuggled my schedule up and screwed me out of taking electives I cared about. It seems like all the crap I took in the AP classes wasn't worth it when I'm not even getting an advanced diploma because of it. Of course, it's going to make my first year of college a breeze.
Blech. I don't even know why I'm thinking about it. It's a tad late.

Blank 02-09-2006 03:11 PM

Just work with what you got. :thumb:
Or if you're not completely happy, can't you take summer school?

Win A Rabbit 02-09-2006 03:11 PM

so i had some of my mom's low carb/low everything food last night, and some low carb cereal this morning. ick. i hate the stuff.

and in my music class, i'm going to be lead snare drummer. the kid that i'm "replacing" has been in that class for 2 years now, but he doesn't practice rudiments or anything. luckily, that's pretty much all i've been doing for the last half year, so i'm ages ahead of him for snare work. he's been playing for 4 years, and he's one of those kids that thinks rudiments are boring and unimportant. he'd just rather sit down and play random stuff over and over again.
im trying to get into college with no gcse english...
I know someone who got like 2 A to C's at GCSEs (english not being one of them) and he got into my college. He just has to resit one GCSE.

Janeway 02-09-2006 03:19 PM

HA!
Do you know why I'm still in Geometry in 12th grade when it's supposed to be taken in 10th? I failed that much. I'm like the biggest fuck tard in the world when it comes to math. I'm 17 and I still count on my fingers. Hell, I still can't recite multiplication tables beyond 1's,2's, 5's, and 10's.
There is no way I'm going to be able to prep for the Math B and pass it in two months of summer school.

Janeway 02-09-2006 03:20 PM

Teehee. Double post.
I hate you, MX.

Win A Rabbit 02-09-2006 03:22 PM

what's some "customer friendly" music that i can bring into work? so far i have tool, porcupine tree, the beatles, and gogol bordello. anything heavier than tool isn't really playable. and i gotta have my daily fix of gogol bordello.

any more suggestions?

RushHourSoul 02-09-2006 03:22 PM

Didn't like audacity.. ah well, no recording for me.

RushHourSoul 02-09-2006 03:23 PM

Tool might be a bit heavy for 'customer friendly'.

id reccommend the shadows though.

Corkofski 02-09-2006 03:24 PM

where you work?

Win A Rabbit 02-09-2006 03:26 PM
where you work?
sbarro's at the airport.

and tool is teetering on the edge of customer friendly, but the bosses have no problem with it. the music isn't insanely loud, but it's audible throughout the restaurant. below talking level, i guess.

Plan B. 02-09-2006 03:26 PM

Tool?!

I'm sure "Prison Sex" would go over well.

RushHourSoul 02-09-2006 03:27 PM

So tomorrow i'm going to be recording.. Grace, Mojo Pin, Last Goodbye, Eternal Life and So Real (all by Jeff Buckley) as well as (maybe) a solo for mx, and some drums for a friends composition. Woo.

Jezen 02-09-2006 03:30 PM
Tool?!

Well he could just make a CD of Tool's softer stuff. 46+2, Parabol/Parabola, Schism, Disposition, Reflection, Triad, Eulogy ect..

Win A Rabbit 02-09-2006 03:32 PM

i've only brought in lateralus so far. there's nothing too extreme on lateralus, really.

RushHourSoul 02-09-2006 03:35 PM

Holy ****. Just swapped around my tom heads to have Coated Emps on batters. God it looks amazing. I tuned them pretty high and they sound almost 'jazzy'. I've had deep, low rock sounds for ages now, time to try something different. I also thought i'd try out the 5 piece again and i'm feeling it so far.

Blank 02-09-2006 04:26 PM

Try a 4 piece buddy!

Der Meister 02-09-2006 04:32 PM
im trying to get into college with no gcse english...
How did you manage to fail at GCSE level? English was a piece of piss anyway.

Corkofski 02-09-2006 04:40 PM

i didnt work for 2 years. easy...

Der Meister 02-09-2006 04:41 PM

neither did I and I still came out with 9 :\

Jezen 02-09-2006 04:42 PM

Do they make the mocks alot harder than the real ones?

RushHourSoul 02-09-2006 04:43 PM
Try a 4 piece buddy!
ha, i've been using a 4 piece for about a year now. As well as occassionaly a 2 piece. So :P

Corkofski 02-09-2006 04:44 PM
Do they make the mocks alot harder than the real ones?
RushHourSoul 02-09-2006 04:44 PM
Do they make the mocks alot harder than the real ones?
No, usually its the year before's paper.

3_times_round 02-09-2006 04:44 PM
Do they make the mocks alot harder than the real ones?
Generally, yes.

They definetly do in Scotland, and it makes more sense as it makes you study for your final if you think its gonna be hard.

RushHourSoul 02-09-2006 04:45 PM

Ooh, conflicting statements. :)

Der Meister 02-09-2006 04:55 PM
No, usually its the year before's paper.
yep

Trev 02-09-2006 04:58 PM

I completely messed up all of my mocks, but in the actual GCSE exams I didn't get below a C in anything, despite doing absolutely no revision for either. Haven't a clue why.

To be honest, GCSEs you can survive without working, as long as you're fairly intelligent. A levels are where you need to work, or else fail.

styler 02-09-2006 05:12 PM

Der Meister 02-09-2006 05:16 PM

Exams you take at 15/16

styler 02-09-2006 05:21 PM

Yeah, in the mocks I did awful, like all Ds, Es etc. In the actual GCSEs I didn't do too bad, got two Ds but the rest where Bs, As, Cs.

A level is much harder, but a lot more interesting I think.
