Blogs are one of the best resources around but they certainly aren't the end all of finding music on the internet.
What other ways are there? There are torrents ya? What else? |
annihilation it is
What other ways are there? There are torrents ya? What else?
There is the hit or miss mess that is public torrents, then you have private torrent trackers which are a different matter entirely (great selection, quality control). p2p programs (esp. Soulseek which is great) are still there as a resource... I wouldn't recommend limewire or the like though. I hear good things about the ed2k network, WASTE, usenet etc., i've never dabbled in this side of things though. |
torrents are the way to go

|

|
Oh I see. You actually have to d/l a P2P program.
|
if you are going to use public torrents here is a good option
http://torrent-finder.com/ I added the widget as a browser extension in firefox, it has served me well. |
People are probably starting to move to the new client/server because when I was on the other night, they shut down the server for a little while and put up a message telling everyone to move to the new client, and said it's going to keep occuring until everyone moves. What a dumb way to do it. Why don't they just post notices saying it will be down for good on a certain date?
Damn. I got the new server, and followed the instructions on how to switch, but I couldn't sign in. Kept saying my password was incorrect. |
yes!
try listening to nile after you blaze.
Haha the first time I got high, Annihilation of the Wicked was the first album I listened to. Was incredible. |

meh, the only Nile album I can still listen to without getting bored is Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren'Ka.
|
i found that one rather boring imo
|
I used to think it was their weakest but it's their only one that doesn't meander around with a bunch of dumb Egyptian crap for minutes at a time.
|
egyptian crap lol
aren't they from the states too? |
yeah
I mean, it's cool that theyre trying to be different to a degree but they put way too much emphasis on the "HOLY **** WE HAVE EGYPTIAN INFLUENCES" and not enough on just writing solid songs. |
well said
i hated their new album |
The best part is Karl Sanders often fails to differentiate between Egyptian and Mesopotamian mythology. But I guess that since he plays a guitar twice his size that's also impossible to tune (and he points this out at every possible opportunity) that he's allowed to be completely off base with his subject matter.
