Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Tonight's The Night
Neil is always good but I feel like I'm in a music rut. My last.fm just seems to be a variation of the same things every week.
I listened to this today as well on a busride. In addition: The Triffids - Calenture The Chameleons - What Does Anything Mean? Basically The Go-Betweens - Liberty Belle and the Black Diamond Express The National - Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers |
Since I haven't been home all week, this is my chart.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/mhxjnu
here it is, listen to it. It's very good.
I'm listening to this right now, and although I like it, I am very tired and cannot handle such mellow music right now. So I'll have to get back to it some other time. |
Darren Hanlon - Early Days
Messiah J & The Expert - Now This I Have To Hear |
Brand New - Deja Entendu
Sometimes, I really want to listen to this album. It's really average though. |
Every song on it is good. It's just, none of them are like.. BAM!
|
Your friends argue about Morrissey compilations? I wish I had friends that would do that.
EDIT: oo god leet post count |
The Whigs
I have NO IDEA how I had not heard of this band before. Kind of like the strokes meets the Replacements. . . but so much better. |
Dan Sartain Vs. the Serpientes
Spase rockabilly, pretty cool. Xenakis - Electronic music A collection of some of his electronic compositions. I like it. |
Saccharine Trust - We Became Snakes
This is a very hard listen. |

Uh what do you expect its as "indie king" ymm posting.
i know that name. what are they like?
Think if post punk and fusion had a baby, and they lived in a SST house and Mike Watt was the babysitter. |
Low - I Could Live In Hope
you know how Long Division is like being in a swimming pool? This is like being in a dirt tunnel underground. It's not as good but "Words" is fantastic.
Could you upload that? When I search for more Low on slsk a bunch of shitty rappers come up. |
Calexico - Hot Rail
I dunno if this or A Feast of Wire is their best. |
Xiu Xiu - The Air Force
it's good |
Calexico - Hot Rail
I dunno if this or A Feast of Wire is their best.
i love that album. i really love the last track also because i grew up hearing that train, so whenever i listen to it, it reminds me of tucson. |
Supersilent - 6
What a fantastic record. I plan on showing (making her watch) their DVD album, 7, to my girlfriend since I brought it back from home. Her reaction is a true litmus test. |
6 and 7 are like perfect, basically. It sometimes seems to be you and I throwing that fact back and forth in these threads. I wish I had a woman who would even be up for sitting through them, but alas.
I made all of my band members watch 7. It was a good bonding moment. I myself listened to a whole hell of a lot of Go-Betweens albums today, as well as some Spoon and Triffids. |
I got my sister into the Dismemberment Plan by driving her to school every morning with my tape of E&I stuck in the tapedeck of my truck. I'm sure you're proud.
|
i force people into my car
does that count |
Hey, you've at least gotta agree it's better than that Ben Kweller and Damien Rice BS she listened to before.
Plus also E&I is perfect. |
I wish I had a woman who would even be up for sitting through them, but alas.
I'm just aiming for one song, then seeing if she can handle a few more. Worst case scenario, she'll appreciate the visual dynamics and respect the interplay. But hopefully she can enjoy the music as a whole. Eventually the whole board will shout of Supersilent's greatness. Just a matter of time. |
nacho i tried to download Liar by the jesus lizard but slsk was being gay
plz send me songs except the first one cause i already have it (the only one i managed to get :() |
Tom Waits - Orphans
probably the must-hear of the year. i put bawlers on first, i wasn't too impressed, but i thought i'd like it more by what i read. i stopped and started listening to brawlers, and it completely floored me. after 2 songs of brawlers i knew i was a waits fan, and i'm looking forward to listening to the whole album. |
listen to rain dogs
