I dont know how you get beyond a 4.0...
4.0 = A avg
3.0 = B avg
2.0 = C avg
1.0 = d and going into f avg

Me either, but I think my school may have a 5.0 grading system or something similiar, I couldn't be for certain though, I've never paid attention. Guess that's ok though, cause he sure liked it!

Your grade levels come into effect, too. If you have all A+'s in a very low level class you won't have a 4.2 (or a 4.0) GPA. You can only have that if you're in all honors, and I think you can get higher than a 4.20 if you're in AP classes.
